WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007 (Xbox 360)
Customer Review: The “King” of all wrestling games is here!
What a great wrestling game! Now I’m not saying its a perfect game…. it certainly has one or two stupid bugs but this game has so much to offer. Whether or not you are a wrestling fan this game has a lot to make it attractive for several weeks off hard playing.
Firstly the roster of stars is great and it is a nice touch that you can “unlock” legendary stars such as Hulk Hogan, The Rock etc. Also you can create your own superstar and this is fantastic, everything from height, weight, skin tone, tattoos and much more can go into making you superstar with of course their own special set of wrestling moves. With fight experience your superstar improves and will eventually challenge for a title match!
The fights themselves are very varied with at least 12 - 16 match types, wrestlers having different styles, strenghts and weaknesses. The moves will take some time to master but then this makes the game more enjoyable and challenging.
The season mode is fun if limited and is a good way to get involved in the “story side” of wrestling. It is also a greta way of improving your wrestling skills. Although the story is pretty simple it is still entertaining.
If you like wrestling then this game will knock you down and pin you for a three count!
Customer Review: Very good, but not perfect
This games is actually good once you get into it.
I want to talk about the cons first because I consider them quite major.
This game loads like a Playstation game (long), it can get annoying.
More importantly though, when this game was developed, I think they forgot people might play it, who have never actually played a “Smackdown vs Raw” game before, especially since this is the first one for an Xbox branded console. So what I really found frustrating is that this game more than any other previous WWE game, was the lack of a practice and tutorial mode.
A tutorial mode such as the one featured in the “WWE Day or Reckoning” games on the GameCube would have been perfect.
Even the instruction book is mostly catered to those who have played a previous version.
There is so much to learn, to the point where after playing one and a half way through the season mode, I am still discovering new controls, moves and tactics.
While I like deciding upon my own in ring tactics, I don’t appreciate having to learn so many controls without help.
If you’re a casual gamer like me, this will frustrate. I don’t think I can really put into words how much a tutorial mode was needed in this.
Other than this, the problems are a bit minor. Such as: there could be more wrestlers and for some reason you can’t use WWE Legends (unlocked wrestlers, such as Bret Hart) in season mode.
On the plus side some of the modes are really good, the graphics are great and it flows quite well, but leads to button bashing when your being attacked or your on the ground trying to recover.
Steel Cage matches are as frustrating as in every wrestling game.
Money in the bank matches (6 man ladder match) while initially quite good, turns into a real struggle and can take 30min or more for someone to win.
Royal Rumble isn’t that fun, its just a survival/struggle match.
And my God the referee is always in the way, can’t he stand back a bit.
These are just a few matches though.
It’s not clear how to win these matches at first (going back to my lack of tutorial or practice complaint).
I have been playing this for over a week solid play, still enjoying it for the most part, once you have learnt it though it’s worth it.
But initially its so overwhelming, having to learn the moves customizing everything from your locker room (which is cool) to options and create character mode is quite vast and can be over complicated.
It’s almost impossible to review this with out writing forever. I haven’t even touched the online mode or create a belt mode for that reason and I only scraped the surface in the “create a character” mode.
So is it worth it? Yes it is, right now it’s the best wresting game out there. But don’t expect an easy play, only if you are willing to give it time.
For all you who know what im talking about, is it better than the legendary N64 No Mercy in terms of gameplay? erm it comes very close, but it isn’t quite as satisfying, and my God did I play that to death. This isn’t quite as balanced and doesn’t flow quite as well. It’s still more about winning than actually taking your time in ring.
The presentation is flawless and watching the entrance to Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan (old school before he made himself look silly) makes you feel nostalgic about WWF in the old days when we were kids.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Xbox 360)
In a nutshell:
X-Men Legends expands into the whole of the Marvel universe with a game featuring more heroes, villains and superhero brawls than a hundred mighty Marvel crossovers.
The lowdown:
It was hardly the deepest action role-player around, but with X-Men Legends, developer Raven found the perfect balance for most comic book fans, between simple action and an expectedly convoluted storyline featuring as many characters as possible. This is basically the same game turned up to 11, as you initially take control of Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man and Wolverine in a battle against Dr Doom and his newfound allies. The graphics are perhaps not quite as detailed as they could be but the scope of the story and the variety of the settings more than makes up for it. Considering how much the game packs in there’s few Marvel diehards that will be disappointed by this.
Most exciting moment:
Although the game works perfectly well on your own it’s really at its best when playing with friends. Depending on the system, you get both online and four-player options, with each player controlling a hero. Many of the superpowers can be combined into a single special move making team work a must (until there’s a fight over a health power-up anyway).
Since you ask:
Although all the obvious heroes are included as playable characters some of the more obscure unlockables include Black Panther, Daredevil, Nick Fury and Silver Surfer. There’s also four exclusive characters for the PSP version (including Captain Marvel and Hawkeye) and more for the Xbox 360 such as Colossus and Moon Knight.
The bottom line:
The ultimate celebration of the Marvel universe in interactive form.-HARRISON DENT

Customer Review: Great multiplayer, dull single player
What more could you want from a videogame than dozens of superheroes from the Marvel universe getting together in one game to save the world(s)?! Most of the best are here including Spiderman, Captain America, X-Men, Ironman, Fantastic 4, Thor, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, Blade, Elecktra and many more, but unfortunately some of my favourites such as The Punisher, Dare Devil and The Incredible Hulk are missing for some reason. That aside, it is a fantastic game where you run around literally bashing everything in sight, so it is not much of a thinking game at all. One of the best things about this game is the end of level bosses which are huge. Also, in one of the levels about halfway through there is an arcade machine section where your superhero is sucked into the cabinet and then has to play through a level of the classic 80’s game “Pitfall” to progress. On single player this game unfortunately gets very repetitive very quickly, but on multiplayer this game is great fun where between 2 and 4 players can team up and go through the main story together. As a bonus to the main story there are various comic book missions where a selected hero plays out some of their most famous stories from the comics. Overall this is a good game that is fun while it lasts but there is not really any replay value in it at all.
Customer Review: Brlliant
My son bought this game and he loves it it is great as it is four player co-op and you have a choice of over 20 characters, from people like the Thing, Wolverine, Spiderman, Ghost Rider, DareDevil and lots more. But this game is not only for boys there are also five women characters aswell so even a girl could play. This game is one of the best co-op games around and this is coming from someone who loves co-op games!!!!! THIS IS A MUST BUY!!!!

Customer Review: Truly brilliant racing game.
NFS Most Wanted is a total success, because it manages to be exciting, addictive & this 360 version looks amazing. The city of Rockport is huge & it has a gritty & grimy look that’s very realistic. The choice of cars is very extensive, & the career mode is the main part of the game where you work your way through, win races, earning money as you go & meeting new challengers in the game’s “blacklist”. I must also mention the movie scenes in between the races. These look absolutely superb & have real people in them, & not CGI characters !! Finally, the police element in the game is wonderful. It’s huge fun to have the chance to make a getaway & have several police cruisers on your tail !!! Awesome. A racing game that’s really special !!!
Customer Review: The best NFS for ages
Owning and completing this game on PS2 was a lotta fun so now owning a 360 I had to get it and play. Let me start by saying I own both Carbon and Most wanted and most wanted is a far better game in every department. For starters it the first one I can remember that actually races in the day allowing you to take in the beautiful graphics and overall design of the game. The police chases A huge huge bonus they actaully make you feel tense as your wanted level goes up as you cause more chaos whilst racing. The story is brilliant with hilarous FMV;s brilliantly cheesy and a lot of fun to watch. - Not sure if they where supposed to be comical to start with but by half they are cracking to watch. The Cars themselves are good in number and choice, with the usual upgrade options on visuals/performance etc, with special limited parts becoming available as you win races from the main characters in the game. An extra challenge series of some 50 set races allowing adds to the single player mode - but generally I would say getting all 100% will set you back 30+ hrs. This is an excellent arcade racer for a good price that has an open play style of racing and the speed/panic it brings that only a few racers could hope for and in my view is only beaten by Burnour Revenge(at current time) as being king of the arcade racers.

Customer Review: Very impressive
I’ve just tried my Sennheiser HD 201’s out on my SPV M3100 phone and am incredibly impressed. To say that its a pretty naff source, MP3 through Media player on a phone, I can’t wait to get them home and try them with a high production value CD through my CD player and my NAD amp! I can’t believe they were so cheap!
Customer Review: Deception

Skate (Xbox 360) Customer Review: Underwhelming and Counterintuitive
Everything about this game just feels a bit wrong. I bought it yesterday and am trading it in for Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground tomorrow. The way in which you have to press a button to push for speed takes so long that by the time you get to where you want to do the trick you are not going fast enough so you have to scramble to get your thumb to the ‘flickit’ control and because it is so counter-intuitive and difficult to use you fall every time and if you miss on a run to an object you have to do a massive wheel to turn around, or a powerslide which makes you lose all your momentum meaning you have to build up speed again, causing the same problem. The camera angle is horrendous pointing from some point behind your knees so you can’t see where you are going. For any fans of THPS who thought about buying this instead of Proving Ground as an alternative, don’t it’s not worth the money.
