Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 (Xbox 360)

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 (Xbox 360)
Customer Review: What no Achievement Points
I initially downloaded Tiger Woods 07 on XBOX Live and really enjoyed the demo. Unfortunately I couldn’t find this version in Malaysia, however I did manage to locate the 06 version and decided to buy. The big difference, in fact the only difference, that I noticed between the two versions is the graphics. Whilst the graphics on 06 are very good - on 07 they are simply stunning with a huge improvement in face detail.
The game itself - I have really enjoyed playing. I notice that there have been complaints about the Power boost being on the left bumper button - I don’t have a general problem with this and have got used to the swing with my left thumb and bashing the bumber with my index finger of my right hand. The only issue I have is due to the button configuration if you use power boost it is virtually impossible to use the right hand joystick to draw or fade the shot. It is like some bizzarre form of finger twister!
For me the two drawbacks have been that I have yet to find anyone playing online (I have had the game a month). I do not know if this is because everyone has upgraded to the newer versions or there is a problem with the EA server. The other drawback is that despite having played this game for going on 30 hours I have not achieved any Achievement Points - I have completed most of the challenges - I have completed a round 4 under par. I have 8 holes in One, over 100 birdies - this is frustrating as it appears the level set to get Achievements has been set ridicuously high.
Despite all the above comments - I do enjoy the game - and I suppose if you are looking for a golf experience i.e difficult, frustrating and requiring lots and lots of practice - this is the game for you.
Customer Review: Decent golf game in HD
Not much more needs to be said about the drawbacks of this version - fewer courses than the xbox version, fewer game modes.
I’d like to say that the game is still a decent way to spend a few hours. The graphics look way better than the previous generation, there are regular tournaments on Xbox Live, and it has all the modes I would realistically expect from a golf game.
The one gripe is the use of the Left Bumper for the power shot and spin button - this requires some finger acrobatics for a right handed person and can frustratingly interfere with the swing.
All in all, worth a play, especially at the bargain prices this is now available at. For a full price game, go for the 07 version, which has more features and better controls and targetting.

Customer Review: An Essential Piece of 360 Kit
If you have wireless controllers for your Xbox 360, this is a must buy. The kit comprises a charger, mains cable and one rechargeable battery pack. The charger can take two battery packs at any one time and will charge both in around four hours, or a single battery in about two hours. The battery pack lasts ages in your controller so charges shouldn’t be too frequent. There are status lights on the front indicating if the batteries are still charging or have finished. There is also a separate Play & Charge Kit for the 360, which plugs your controller into the console’s USB port to charge the battery. All well and good, but it doesn’t charge as quickly and the cable defeats the object of having a wireless pad. For these reasons, the Quick Charge Kit is a better bet. Extra battery packs cost about ?9-10 and are worth the investment. The whole set-up will pay for itself within a matter of weeks compared to the equivalent cost in AA alkaline batteries, so get one today!
Customer Review: Good but be careful!
I got this peice of kit for xmas and it works brilliantly. It charges full in about 1 hour and lasts for 25 hours of play which is ruddy good. Here comes the but, the battery pack has small metal strips to connect it to the charger and if you charge alot the metal strips where away and you cant charge anymore (like mine). Im going to try the play and charge kit as i dont have to take out the battery therefore wearing away the strips.
