Customer Review: Not as Good as it Could Be
This game shines… in the most part it is the most beautifully presented game I have ever seen. The character models and their facial expressions are truly a wonder to behold. However - the on foot combat is at best ordinary and the in vehicle combat tedious and frustrating. Many of the worlds (particularly the unpopulated ones)look practically identical. This is not KOTOR - it’s not even Jade Empire - but a poor third. Nevertheless, I’m sure we’ve all played worse games and it does pass the time.
Customer Review: WARNING: Time will fly by when you are in this game
Thank goodness this game does not play out like “Call of Duty 4″…. What a disappointment that was: a 5-hour solo campaign? Dear or dear…. Mass Effect is advertised as a Role Playing Game (look this up if you are not sure what it means), and since most games billed as RPGs are invariably FPS’s with just vague role-play element (such as skill upgrades), I felt blessed to behold Mass Effect. It’s like being in a CGI movie like “Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within”, only you are in control of the main character and the story is far more interesting. And just when you think that’s it, you realize that combat engine is inspired from “Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter” (which is much more original in game play than “Call of Duty 4″). Make sure you have a handle on the position of the sun when you play this game, as my quick little half-hour session yesterday was actually 4 hours without me even realizing. On a further note, girlfriends/boyfriends/flatmates may not mind you hogging the lounge TV with this title, as they will probably find it entertaining to watch like some new anim? movie. You’ll need them to supply you with fluids anyway.

Customer Review: Not as good as wipeout
Anti grav racing is no longer en vogue, not only that it, hasn’t been eb vogue for nearly a decade. So there is a definite lack of anti grav racing games but just because there is a lack doesn’t mean the world is crying out for one. That said a good one would go down nicely, sadly this is just merely average. It is fun for a short while then the difficulty curve goes of the scale. As the game progresses the races get faster, and sadly fast is everything. More quantum redshift than wipeout.

Customer Review: PAIRED WITH A 360 ELITE, THIS IS JUST AS GOOD AS A TOSHIBA HD-XE1 !
I got into HD movies with a Toshiba HD-XE1, which cost me ?450. Having just upgraded our original XBOX 360 to an Elite (mainly because, as a Vista Media Centre Extender, the Elite is MUCH quieter than the original 360), I couldn’t resist buying this 360 HD drive. Bottom Line? I’m selling the Tosh because I find the output of th XBOX HD drive is JUST AS GOOD, through either my Panasonic HD projector or Sharp HD TV. The pairing of this drive with the 360 Elite using HDMI to connect to a decent display is just perfect. This is a great Home Cinema solution, particularly as the Elite doesn’t sound like a jet engine as the old 360 did. I’m delighted!
Customer Review: HD made easy
Put simply, the hd add on for the 360 is great. Simply plug the player into a usb port on the console and install the disk. Comparing the price to an independant hd player makes the add on a superb buy, any 360 owner should seriously think about getting one. But, you will have to download updates from microsoft. Anyone not online will have to be prepared to have the odd dvd that won’t play.

WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007 (Xbox 360) Customer Review: The “King” of all wrestling games is here!
What a great wrestling game! Now I’m not saying its a perfect game…. it certainly has one or two stupid bugs but this game has so much to offer. Whether or not you are a wrestling fan this game has a lot to make it attractive for several weeks off hard playing.

Firstly the roster of stars is great and it is a nice touch that you can “unlock” legendary stars such as Hulk Hogan, The Rock etc. Also you can create your own superstar and this is fantastic, everything from height, weight, skin tone, tattoos and much more can go into making you superstar with of course their own special set of wrestling moves. With fight experience your superstar improves and will eventually challenge for a title match!

The fights themselves are very varied with at least 12 - 16 match types, wrestlers having different styles, strenghts and weaknesses. The moves will take some time to master but then this makes the game more enjoyable and challenging.

The season mode is fun if limited and is a good way to get involved in the “story side” of wrestling. It is also a greta way of improving your wrestling skills. Although the story is pretty simple it is still entertaining.

If you like wrestling then this game will knock you down and pin you for a three count!
Customer Review: Very good, but not perfect
This games is actually good once you get into it.

I want to talk about the cons first because I consider them quite major.

This game loads like a Playstation game (long), it can get annoying.

More importantly though, when this game was developed, I think they forgot people might play it, who have never actually played a “Smackdown vs Raw” game before, especially since this is the first one for an Xbox branded console. So what I really found frustrating is that this game more than any other previous WWE game, was the lack of a practice and tutorial mode.

A tutorial mode such as the one featured in the “WWE Day or Reckoning” games on the GameCube would have been perfect.

Even the instruction book is mostly catered to those who have played a previous version.

There is so much to learn, to the point where after playing one and a half way through the season mode, I am still discovering new controls, moves and tactics.

While I like deciding upon my own in ring tactics, I don’t appreciate having to learn so many controls without help.

If you’re a casual gamer like me, this will frustrate. I don’t think I can really put into words how much a tutorial mode was needed in this.

Other than this, the problems are a bit minor. Such as: there could be more wrestlers and for some reason you can’t use WWE Legends (unlocked wrestlers, such as Bret Hart) in season mode.

On the plus side some of the modes are really good, the graphics are great and it flows quite well, but leads to button bashing when your being attacked or your on the ground trying to recover.

Steel Cage matches are as frustrating as in every wrestling game.

Money in the bank matches (6 man ladder match) while initially quite good, turns into a real struggle and can take 30min or more for someone to win.

Royal Rumble isn’t that fun, its just a survival/struggle match.

And my God the referee is always in the way, can’t he stand back a bit.

These are just a few matches though.

It’s not clear how to win these matches at first (going back to my lack of tutorial or practice complaint).

I have been playing this for over a week solid play, still enjoying it for the most part, once you have learnt it though it’s worth it.

But initially its so overwhelming, having to learn the moves customizing everything from your locker room (which is cool) to options and create character mode is quite vast and can be over complicated.

It’s almost impossible to review this with out writing forever. I haven’t even touched the online mode or create a belt mode for that reason and I only scraped the surface in the “create a character” mode.

So is it worth it? Yes it is, right now it’s the best wresting game out there. But don’t expect an easy play, only if you are willing to give it time.

For all you who know what im talking about, is it better than the legendary N64 No Mercy in terms of gameplay? erm it comes very close, but it isn’t quite as satisfying, and my God did I play that to death. This isn’t quite as balanced and doesn’t flow quite as well. It’s still more about winning than actually taking your time in ring.

The presentation is flawless and watching the entrance to Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan (old school before he made himself look silly) makes you feel nostalgic about WWF in the old days when we were kids.
