Customer Review: Wasnt as good as the hype!
This was my first console meeting with the Halo Franchise I got the Limited (Tin) version first then this one and sold of the other version!

The legendary Edition is worth the money as the spartan helmet looks great oh and there is a third DVD to but the Helmet is the real reason to get this!

With all the hype that surrounded the release of this game I was expecting to enjoy this game but didn’t, there wasnt anything bad about the game I just thought it lacked something Dynamic in the single player.

The Multiplayer is a good laugh as long as you dont play when all the school kids are on as they can be a bit excitable on Halo.

Now for the great bit, the biggest enjoyment I have had with this game is having a mate over and playing co-op over LAN this is great fun and the reason to get the game! Still a challenge on Legendary and a bit tricky at times on heroic, dont bother with normal as for co-op it is way to easy to even describe!

Customer Review: The Chief is back
Firstly the game is excellent. At first I wasn’t overly impressed but it sort of creeps up on you. Also play through it on Heroic or above otherwise it is too short and too easy. Once on this difficulty it becomes an absolute beauty.

The box set is impressively big. The helmet is a nice ornament although a little bigger than I was expecting. It won’t sit on most book shelves due to it’s height and depth.

I was a little disappointed that the discs were not boxed in the special edition tin which was a lovely looking thing. They are supposedly supposed to sit inside the helmet but I think most people tend to keep their games altogether on a shelf and it is a bit annoying that the game is in a plain looking normal box.

This is a serious alternative to the overpriced Microsoft branded hardware. This controller has the familiar shape as per the Original/official hardware. The coating is in a very tactile rubberised finnish, and of course most importantly - the performance is excellent with isntantaneous response. The range is very good also. ps We received it from the supllier (E W Link) the day after ordering - great service guys!

FIFA 08 (Xbox 360)

The greatest battle of the new football season is not between any real world club but between the virtual giants of FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer. Konami’s game has always been the favourite but last year FIFA closed the gap to such a degree that the title race has never been closer. This year’s FIFA uses a completely new game engine, for the first time built specifically for the next gen consoles. But improved graphics and animation are only the half of it, with just as much focus going on the artificial intelligence thanks to the new “35 point decision engine”. What this basically means is that every player on the pitch is fully aware of those around him and constantly thinking about tactics and position when not under your control.

Other changes include better modelled physics for taking a shot on goal, which take into account everything from air pressure to the angle of your foot. You’re also able to create your own special moves to replicate every possible trick from real life. There are also new game modes including Be A Pro which challenges you to play the role of a single player through a whole season or career. On top of this there are revamped online leagues to play a virtual season in the Premier League, Bundesliga, French League or Mexican 1st Division against real opponents. With 620 licensed teams, 30 offline leagues and 15,000 players as well FIFA might just have made enough new signings this year to put it over the top.

It is a superb game from a graphical pov - really. My problem is that it has now become a bit too tactical - made me crave the very simple games like World cup 98. Maybe I’m showing my age!!!
Customer Review: Ex PES fan turns to the EA side of the force!!!
Since PES was first released on PS2 i’ve been a huge fan the pick up and play ability of it was great even a quick 10 min game usually turned into a long session and everything else getting forgotten. As time has gone by i’ve upgraded PES every yearand moved onto Xbox 360 instead of PS2, and this is were PES reign began to slip, but i soldiered until PES 2008 was released. I rushed to the shop ?40 in hand ready for the next thrilling instalment of PES, i got home and started to play (yes PES has always had its floors lack of real teams and only having premiership sides). Hold on this isn’t football that defender has just run the full length of the pitch and scored and as for the Xbox live mode slow down doesn’t cover it!!! So the greatest football game of all time has turned rubbish what do you do? You bite the bullet and buy FIFA 08 and discover that EA have made the best football game ever!!! Amazing graphics, truly challenging gameplay, AND real teams with real names AND you can play as hundreds of English sides from Arsenal to Rotherham United what more could a REAL football fan want apart from Ronaldinho running up the wing for their club oh yeah that could happen in FIFA 08 in manager mode! In short don’t be put off by previous FIFA outings do the right thing and buy FIFA 08, any way i’m off to sign Thierry Henry for Sheffield United well it ain’t gonna happen at Bramall Lane!!!

Customer Review: Great quality picture - Check your TV first!
Got this little beauty for Christmas 2007 and set it up easily within about 5 minutes. The HD-DVD player comes with a CD to update the software on your xbox, this takes about 30 seconds and only requires you to put the CD in. It also comes with the xbox dvd remote which is excellent as my girlfriend doesnt like using the xbox controller to watch dvds. The HD-DVD player connects to the xbox via usb but cleverly it acts as a usb hub as it has 2 usb ports on the back, so you dont have to worry about not being able to connect your xbox camera. I first set this up on my Dads 40in Sony HDTV and was amazed at the picture and sound quality of my new Harry Potter 5 HD-DVD. However, when I set it up on my 32in Sharp Aquos HDTV I thought the picture, although still impressive, was not as good as the Sony. I put this down to the fact that the Sharp Aquos does NOT have any ‘component in’, just ‘VGA in’ and an adaptor that lets me plug in component cables. This is the only down side for me in an otherwise excellent product. Here is a check list I think might be helpful before you buy this: 1. xbox 360 2. High definition TV with component in. 3. A spare power socket as HD-DVD player requires separate power supply. If you have the above then the xbox HD-DVD player is a must and a much cheaper option than any other player on the market. Hope this helps! P.S Ignore reviews saying that it is too noisy and you cant hear dialogue…yes it has a fan…yes you can hear it…but it in no way inhibits your viewing pleasure.
Customer Review: Totally Awesome!
This is a great machine. The design is cool, and it looks like a small version of the white xbox 360. This is also fairly light, and quite, you basically plug it into your xbox 360 and you are ready to go, but you do need an HD TV (obviously), and i have only got transformers so far. I was amazed with the picture quality & sound difference compared to a standard dvd. My recomendation - BUY IT!!!! Amazon are the cheapest on the internet, and i received mine 2 days after i ordered it - That is excellent service.
