Crackdown (Xbox 360)

Crackdown (Xbox 360)
Customer Review: Crapdown? Hell no!
What can i say for this game? That it constantly surprises me at every turn? the graphics and sound are second to none? Whatever you think, these statements are true.
Though Crackdown has no paticular story, it makes up for that with intense action and non-stop thrills. The array of guns were unparalled by none. One minute you are eating a Subway sandwich in the park, and the next you are waging terrible war with bloodthirsty criminals!
To put it simply, Crackdown is simply astonishing. The freeform jumping and chasing sequences are bound to exhilerate even the most boring of people. If you are hesitating to buy this game, i order you not to, or you will never find the apparent “perfect game”
Customer Review: I like it, but it’s not quite as good as I thought it would be
As my title says, I did enjoy this game but am kinda disappointed by it. After hearing about the great reviews it got & a ex gf of mine saying it was really good I decided to buy it. So let’s move onto reviweing the different elements of the game.
Graphically, it’s a nice game with graphic novel (aka cell shaded) graphics & I like the designs for the agency pistol & assault rifle & it makes a nice change since I’m more use to Bioshock, Lost Planet, Gears Of War etc in those terms.
Gameplay wise, it is a lot like other sandbox genre games in terms of shooting but there is the ability of being able to leap great distances like The Incredible Hulk which is quite easy to get to grips with, only negative point is that being able to leap 30 feet across the city in a single bound makes simple jumps quite tricky sometimes & sometimes guns would lock onto vehicles or dead bodies which doesn’t help much.
The presentation is nice, the boxart is quite ok to look at & the manual is as another review mentions done like a hand manual which I always quite like as it makes you feel more part of the game, but this game has a big problem with involvement which I’ll get onto shortly.
Storyline, is well, about 0.01% existent. It is as simple as kill bad guys to make city safe, your agent has no story or past except that he’s there to crush gang members with guns, his foot & the odd car or so if you feel like it. So unfortunately having an instruction manual that reads like you are the agent rather than a gamer is a bit pointless in a game that doesn’t really involve you in a story.
Lifespan is short, shorter than I expected it to be. I recieved it yesterday & completed it today & I wasn’t even that good at it sometimes & spent a lot of time messing about. It didn’t help that I managed to take down one of the last generals in a space of a few minutes & killed very few guards & just knocked him over with a kick & stomped on him till he was dead like most the other ones. I would have also liked to have seen more than 3 agency weapons, I would have liked an agency sniper rifle & rocket launcher at least. Having completed it, I’ve realised how much I’ve missed games like The Darkness, Bioshock, Gears Of War & even Halo 3. Sure, I’ll play this again from time to time but it won’t be something I’ll be really playing like I would other games.
So in a nutshell, not a bad game it just is a bit disappointing & not quite as good as a filler I thought it would be, it’s gonna be a while before I fire it up again.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (Xbox 360)
In a nutshell:
Mexico City has been overrun by terrorists and only the Ghost Recon team can restore order - through the use of extreme violence. You command not just your three team mates but a high-tech array of weapons, armoured vehicles and aircraft.
The lowdown:
Although it still plays very similarly to the last Ghost Recon game, this is easily the most impressive of the series so far. The graphics, particularly on the Xbox 360, are extraordinary with a whole city sprawling out in front of you at a previously unimaginable level of detail. Unlike some squad based shooters the controls are simple and intuitive, allowing you to take part in the action and order about soldiers and vehicles at the same time with the minimum of fuss. The questionable artificial intelligence of your allies is the only serious flaw, but the ability to explore the city and plan your attack from any angle usually overcomes this problem.
Most exciting moment:
Calling in a helicopter gunship as you and your men are pinned down by a dozen terrorists, snipers and tanks.
Since you ask:
The game is set in 2013 and all of the high-tech weaponry is based on equipment the U.S. expects to have in operation by then - even the Metal Gear Solid style flying recon drones.
The bottom line:
Incredible graphics and one of the best squad based shooters ever.

Customer Review: Short and simple
I have played both xbox and xbox 360 versions, the xbox version is a lot more fun. The xbox 360 version i died a lot, and if i wasnt dying i was wondering why my team mates weren’t doing what i wanted them to do. The missions are a lot more fun on the original xbox, team mates are easier to control, weapon selection is wider. Basically, the original xbox version kicks the xbox 360 versions ass!!!
Customer Review: Glitches Galore
I bought this game for the XBox 360 with high hopes. I have been a fan of this series of games for some time as well as the whole genre. Unfortunately I was left very disappointed. The artificial intelligence is not very intelligent and the game itself is very glitchy indeed (and at some points makes the game unplayable).
Table Tennis (Xbox 360)
In a nutshell:
A next generation game of Ping Pong doesn’t necessarily sound like the best use of your Xbox 360’s abilities - no matter how good the graphics are. Just a few quick plays though will turn apathy into addiction.
The lowdown:
You might come for the budget price but you’ll stay for the gameplay in what must be the most engrossing new sports game in years. Although the realism is probably going to be beside the point for most people this looks and plays exactly like the real thing. That means the controls basically work like a normal tennis sim, with four basic shot types on the face buttons and some easy to apply aftertouch available on the left stick. You can mix and match shots by holding down multiple buttons and there’s a handy warning rumble when you starting getting your returns too near the edge of the table. Although the presentation is a little dry, especially for a Rockstar game, sports games don’t get much more fun than this.
Most exciting moment:
Although it’s a shame there’s no doubles matches the game is still at its best online in multiplayer mode. If you don’t have Xbox Live though you’ll find the computer players are very realistic, with their own quirks and specialities that make them seem far more like real people.
Since you ask:
The game features seven extra playable characters to unlock by beating the single player tournaments. The nationalities of these players are Brazilian, Irish, German, South Korean, Japanese, English and Egyptian.
The bottom line:
It may sound an odd idea but this could be the most addictive game yet for the 360.

Customer Review: Quick Overview
I recently purchased this game due to the fact it looked good and was incredibly cheap. the game itself is easy to get to grips with, you can understand the basics after only about ten minutes of play, once you have those it is pure experimentational play which improves your game. i am a table tennis fan, however, even my sister loves the game too ( for both sexes: thumbs up). you can unlock new arenas, characters and clothes ( oooh the joy) but overall this is such an amazing game to play. the graphics are top notch and so is the RAGE engine’s capabilities. it looks amazingly realistic and caters for hours of fun. A must buy for anyone looking to have a little fun on their own or with their pals. Great Game!!
Customer Review: prototype
this is merely a prototype of graphics for gta 4 and i think we all know these are awsum graphics you can only rate this on graphics and drive yourself crazy waiting for gta 4…
Halo 3 (Xbox 360) The Halo games were always the best reason to by an Xbox and now the final part in the initial trilogy of ground breaking first person shooters is set to raise the bar for all Xbox 360 games. Well known for their secrecy, Bungie have officially revealed little about Halo 3, but what is known is that the new game features an Earth completely overtaken and controlled by the Covenant, as they seek a secret hidden Forerunner weapon.
Although little is known about the single player mode, more has been seen of the multiplayer, with various beta testing schemes going on in both secret and in public. A number of new weapons and vehicles have already been revealed including a new assault rifle, the new Spartan laser anti-vehicle weapon and a new hand held shield device for Master Chief that can create a far more effective protective shield around you. New vehicles include the ATV-like Mongoose, a new variant of the Warthog and the new, more powerful, Brute Ghost.
Of course the most important new feature that every new fan is interested in is the graphics, and they are looking predictably fantastic. With lots of technobabble, new features like high dynamic range lightning and pre-computed radiance transfer means the game will not only play great but looks amazing too.

Customer Review: Never was going to live up to the hype
very dissapointing end to the trilogy. it was never going to live up to the hype but the sheer level of dissapointment is a big loss. now don’t get me wrong it is a good fun game, but it is a lot worse than it could have been. the campaign is way too short. on legendary mode me and a mate did it in 5 hours! that is not good enough. the graphics are rather dissapointing and the online multiplayer is to. it is good fun online but with only 3 or 4 good maps you are left with little to do in terms of replay value. i don’t really reccoment this game unless you are a huge halo fan in which case you would already own the game.
if you want to buy a FPS but don’t have Halo3 get COD4 instead, it has much better graphics, a wider range of weaponary, more reallistic and satisfying kills and an exellent campaign.
GET COD4!
Customer Review: Above expectations
A nice way to end the halo trilogy cut scenes aren’t over used and its an incredible game. If you complete it on legendary and see the extended ending after the credits then you should feel satisfied. Complete it at least twice to take in the game in more detail. A must have game for anyones gaming collection.
