Xbox 360 HD DVD Player (Xbox 360)
Customer Review: PAIRED WITH A 360 ELITE, THIS IS JUST AS GOOD AS A TOSHIBA HD-XE1 !
I got into HD movies with a Toshiba HD-XE1, which cost me ?450. Having just upgraded our original XBOX 360 to an Elite (mainly because, as a Vista Media Centre Extender, the Elite is MUCH quieter than the original 360), I couldn’t resist buying this 360 HD drive. Bottom Line? I’m selling the Tosh because I find the output of th XBOX HD drive is JUST AS GOOD, through either my Panasonic HD projector or Sharp HD TV. The pairing of this drive with the 360 Elite using HDMI to connect to a decent display is just perfect. This is a great Home Cinema solution, particularly as the Elite doesn’t sound like a jet engine as the old 360 did. I’m delighted!
Customer Review: HD made easy
Put simply, the hd add on for the 360 is great. Simply plug the player into a usb port on the console and install the disk. Comparing the price to an independant hd player makes the add on a superb buy, any 360 owner should seriously think about getting one. But, you will have to download updates from microsoft. Anyone not online will have to be prepared to have the odd dvd that won’t play.

Customer Review: The best accessory for any 360 owner
This is absolute essential if you bought a premium pack or a wireless controller. Your 360 control pad will last 30 hours on fresh AA batteries but, what you don’t want, is to be in the middle of a battle on your favourite game only for a “Please reconnect controller” message to pop up. This simple cable completely removes the need to buy batteries ever again. Your on screen battery indicator (Guide blade) will tell you when your pad is running low then you simply plug one end of the cable into an available USB port on your console and the other in the top of the controller to recharge your battery whilst playing! Simply brilliant!
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Xbox 360) Customer Review: Truly brilliant racing game.
NFS Most Wanted is a total success, because it manages to be exciting, addictive & this 360 version looks amazing. The city of Rockport is huge & it has a gritty & grimy look that’s very realistic.
The choice of cars is very extensive, & the career mode is the main part of the game where you work your way through, win races, earning money as you go & meeting new challengers in the game’s “blacklist”. I must also mention the movie scenes in between the races. These look absolutely superb & have real people in them, & not CGI characters !!
Finally, the police element in the game is wonderful. It’s huge fun to have the chance to make a getaway & have several police cruisers on your tail !!! Awesome.
A racing game that’s really special !!!
Customer Review: The best NFS for ages
Owning and completing this game on PS2 was a lotta fun so now owning a 360 I had to get it and play.
Let me start by saying I own both Carbon and Most wanted and most wanted is a far better game in every department.
For starters it the first one I can remember that actually races in the day allowing you to take in the beautiful graphics and overall design of the game.
The police chases A huge huge bonus they actaully make you feel tense as your wanted level goes up as you cause more chaos whilst racing.
The story is brilliant with hilarous FMV;s brilliantly cheesy and a lot of fun to watch. - Not sure if they where supposed to be comical to start with but by half they are cracking to watch.
The Cars themselves are good in number and choice, with the usual upgrade options on visuals/performance etc, with special limited parts becoming available as you win races from the main characters in the game.
An extra challenge series of some 50 set races allowing adds to the single player mode - but generally I would say getting all 100% will set you back 30+ hrs.
This is an excellent arcade racer for a good price that has an open play style of racing and the speed/panic it brings that only a few racers could hope for and in my view is only beaten by Burnour Revenge(at current time) as being king of the arcade racers.
