Customer Review: An enjoyble game with a long life span!
New to XBOX and new to Topspin, i found this game to be great fun to play and quite addictive! Playing a career mode as your own character draws me back to play game after game. “Zoom” mode on gameplay is much better than having to play at the top of the court. Training is fun and if you switch coaches every year or so you can do a lot more and it DOES help your technique in the game. Overall, i really enjoyed this game and think it’ll be one i’ll keep and play again and again.
Customer Review: Ok what did I expect from a tennis game
Well I gave this game 4 stars as cant fault it on what it offers and it was my own silly fault expecting guns and explosions and action. Not really the game to play after Call of Duty 2 as it is very relaxing although I did not win many points in a match and played it for about 20 minutes before moving on to some form of violence on Crackdown. The game is brilliantly executed and put together and really bought it so that I could play it with my wife.

Customer Review: Gears Gears Gears - Just so much fun
To start off, I have played this game so much that it is worth every penny that I paid for it. The game is absolutely terrific. I have played it through on all of the difficulties, expect the casual (easy) option as I started off playing Hardcore and found that more of a challenge. Playing through the single player is so much fun when playing in co-op. I believe that the game was designed to be played in co-op and honestly the gameplay works really well and the co-op play is so interesting when playing the single player campaign on the hardest difficulty. Stepping aside from the single player you have multiplayer where the fun continues again. Battling other players across Xbox Live is so fun and the game has so much to offer, its worth the price they charge for it. The graphics are totally some of the best in the industry and rank at the top. If your a shooting fan, you can’t possibly be disappointed with this.

In a nutshell:
Lara Croft is finally back in the first game to do her legacy justice since the days of the original PlayStation. With updated graphics and gameplay, and a whole new suite of moves and equipment this is the sequel fans have always demanded.

The lowdown:
After the disappointment of Angel of Darkness, the Tomb Raider series has gone back to basics with a new developer and even a new Lara. Combat is back to being only around a third of the game with everything else centred on platform jumping and puzzle solving. To help this, there’s a canny new movement system that allows Lara to jump onto and grab objects at an angle, so there’s none of the awkward grid based movement of the earlier games. This is also the first Tomb Raider to have a proper physics engine, with lots of the puzzles revolving around movement and the use of Lara’s natty new magnetic grappling hook. The graphics are also excellent, and with input from the original creator this is a long awaited return to form.

Most exciting moment:
The realisation that this is actually a proper update of the original game, as Lara leaps around cliffs like a mountain goat, with graphics and controls that aren’t still stuck in 1996.

Customer Review: Welcome Back Lara!
Lets all face it, expectations for this game were never that high. Lara Croft has suffered one of the biggest falls from grace in videogames history and it was hard for anybody to see a way out. After 6 games, all identical in many ways nobody would have been blamed for thinking that she had nothing more to offer, just as well that they were all wrong. Tomb Raider Legend builds upon the original formula, which lets face it maybe old but it works. Lara now has a much smoother look and feel, her movements are fluid and she no longer maneuvers like a tank. The puzzles are cleverly implemented but simple enough to make you kick yourself when you realise the solution. Another greatly improved area is the combat… it still has vast room for improvement (lets not forget, at the heart this is an adventure game and not a shooter so its forgivable) it works a great deal better than before, with a targeting system and bullet time Lara can now aim in more than 8 simple directions. The story line has been completely revamped too, and gives us a much better insight to the wonderful world of Miss Croft. This time she has much more personality, helped also by some excellent script writing and voice work. Acrobatically she is simply a marvel, the game has a great way of making you feel special. You can pull of all of these breathtaking vaults and leaps with simple touches of a button, all it takes is some precision and good timing. Crystal Dynamics have really poured a lot of effort into this game, it has a much better replay value than ever before with hidden relics, extra costumes and time trials. It also looks marvelous with much needed updated graphics, which really catch the eye and bring these brilliant locations to life (especially the 360 version). It is an all round package, which provides a genuinely enjoyable (if a little short) experience It was always going to be hard to judge, do you base it on the previous few games or on the original and the pure popularity of the brand? It sticks to the original winning Tomb Raider formula enough to keep veterans happy, while offering enough to pull in new fans too. Customer Review: Great game, lauzy controls!
This game is a lot of fun. The scenarios are great, the puzzles are fantastic and overall it is a good addition to Lara Croft’s saga. Unfortunately, the Eidos guys messed up with the controls and fast players will have a feeling of unresponsiveness, mostly during the more intensive parts of the game like boss battles.

Customer Review: Overpriced here, but worth it elsewhere
Firstly, yes, it is overpriced on Amazon (Gamestation are selling it for only ?29.99) hence the 3 stars. If you can get it elsewhere, then it really is a great package. I’m a teenage boy and I enjoy Viva Pinata. Haven’t played much, but it’s good fun for a bit. Forza 2 is all right if you’re into racing games, and is good in multiplayer. Great graphics on both games, and I’d give them both 4 stars. The only thing to watch out for is the games come in one box, with the discs stacked inside, and the cover art is half Viva/half Forza. If you love your boxart, then you may have to get a spare box and print the original yourself. The wireless controller is great, and so responsive. I prefer the wired controllers, purely for the weight, and so I don’t have to constantly recharge batteries, but the wireless is also excellent. In short, it is *way* overpriced on Amazon, but definantley worth getting somewhere else, if around ?30.
Customer Review: Watch out for dodgy listings on Amazon Marketplace
Not a review of the product, which I’m sure is fine BUT a friendly warning about the listings on Marketplace: I have recently purchased this for ?25 plus ?1.99 p & p from a seller who NOW states (and i can find no evidence of this on my order history) that he was only selling the GAME part and not the controller - hence the reduced price. (It was roughly ?5 cheaper than the next lowest!) Of course this is ridiculous as why would you advertise your GAME ONLY under this “controller set” listing and not separately? (unless of course it was your intention to mislead and attain a higher price for your ware?) I will be persuing a refund through Amazon as my seller is unsurprisingly ignoring my emails! But please people be warned and if you DO get trapped by any of these dodgy deals - REPORT THEM so that they do not continue to get away with it. At the very least, Amazon will put in place measures to prevent such blatant misleading listings..

Customer Review: dynasty warriors with gore and a better game engine - disappointing
Viking is the most recent console game by The Creative Assembly following Spartan on the original xbox. As such I hoped it would take the tactical elements that game had and place them into a more brutal and impressive environment. Sadly Viking has been dumbed down considerably from Spartan to the extent there is no strategy whatsoever, indeed in the big battles its impossible to die so there is no challenge either - who cares how many vikings you rescue when they reappear just as many times as the character you play, it may take you hours but theres no way to fail - you cant die, your men cant die so what is the point. It has the spectacle but is empty, although perhaps its more vocal fans are getting what they want - a game that takes no skill to complete is not my idea of a challenge. Theres so many men on screen its pointless having combat mechanics because most of the time you cant see what you’re doing and its worst crime is that the gameplay is exactly the same throughout. Solo missions are enjoyable but still repetitive, every final battle plays the same without asking the player to do any more than the first one did. So thats three lands to free with nothing else to do but hack and kill and hack and kill some more, fine if thats what you want but for me its a tragic direction for The Creative Assembly to take and it became very boring. In a nutshell this is great for simpletons and people lacking in the necessary skills to actually complete a game for themselves, for anyone wanting a constantly evolving challenge (and isn’t the type to forgive a game its faults just because you can chop the enemies heads off) you wont find it here.

In a nutshell:

The lowdown:
F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) isn’t your run of the mill first person shooter, with ghostly encounters and hellish visions straight from the likes of The Ring and Silent Hill. When you’re not being scared to death by spooks though you’re being shoot at by some of the most advanced artificial intelligence ever, which actually tracks you across the game world and ambushes you when you least expect it. As well as new Xbox Live options the 360 version of the game includes a new instant action single player mode where you can battle opponents in specially modified arenas taken from the story mode.

Most exciting moment:
Considering everything you’re up against it’s a good job you’ve got a few psychic powers of you own, primarily the ability to slow down time for a few seconds and quickly gain the initiative – and look cool while you’re doing it.

Customer Review: Awesome, awesome game!
I don’t normally write ‘gush’ reviews, but having only recently gotten to play this incredible game that’s been around for some time already, I’m going to do just that. FEAR is very probably the best FPS on 360(Alongside Bioshock of course). Playing as an FEAR agent, you’re tasked with hunting down a rogue nutter unleashing his army of soldiers against your organisation while simultaneously dealing with various ghost encounters which seem to have some bearing on your mission. It’s hard to get too far into the excellent plot without spoiling things, so I won’t, but be assured, it is a fine journey filled with suspense, horror and sci fi overtures. The gameplay is very well put together, with a well rounded control system incorporating some tried and trusted ideas(Slowing down time for example) to spectacular and giving you some excellent weaponry that can be downright hilarious at times(Using a bog standard shotgun to blow a bad guy clean in half never seems to get boring in this game). You’ll pick up how to play the game in no time, it’s very easy to get into and unlike some FPS titles, never proves daunting to learn to play, it’s simple run and gun action but in the best way imaginable. Graphics, sound and atmosphere are all top notch, there isn’t anything else to say on the matter, just ‘top notch’ stuff throughout. It’s been a while and it’s likely all been said before, but FEAR really is an essential purchase if you have even the most remote interest in FPS games. You’re almost certain to find something you like here. I only regret that it’s taken me so long to give it a go.

Like FPS’s? - you need this. the 3 stars are for the campaign really- it is good and there are a few jumps in there- there are also ‘Instant Action’ Maps to do too, which is nice; but its 5 stars all the way for the multiplayer. I have Halo and COD4, both are good but I always return to FEAR. Basically, if you mixed Halo3 with FEAR’s gameplay, then you’d have the perfect FPS. (3 stars might be seen as a bit harsh.. I’ve had the game for about a year and played through it three times)

If you buy this game dont pay the full price for it but DEFFINATLEY consider it. It is most fun when played with friends on your own Xbox or online because of its party gameplay. In short only buy it if you have friends to play with.

just like the other reviewer said its got a fine build quality and the table mount does a fantastic job of holding it in place. the lap top mount is great but this steering wheel is really really powerfull and youll be fighting to keep it on your lap when the force feedback is on full cos it rips your arms off!. it really is great what they have done with it and initially i put off buying it because of the price but its worth every penny. remember sega rally in the arcades all those years ago? well this does an even better job of replicating the feeling of the ground,it goes heavy at slow speeds on tarmac,grass makes it slip,gear changes ‘clonk’ through the wheel,jumps make the wheel go light and when u hit the floor it slams through the wheel,wheel spinning of the line rumbles the wheel and even pulls the wheel to the side depending on the power distribution and on forza every car genuinly feels different. games that support this that are out right now are sega rally grid dirt pgr 3 and 4 and obviously forza 2. dirt is fantastic but its really sensitive but you can change the saturation settings to make it better,pgr 3 and 4 are perfect and grid,well thats the one let down.the game is set to 100% saturation from the start and its just impossible to drive. really really twitchy.i havent played forza 2 for months but when i had this wheel last week it has breathed new life into my games.one niggle is a slight buzzing sound coming from my headset when playing on line (fault?) could be just my one.think i might pick up sega rally,then all i need is some 14 year old chav staring over my shoulder and it will be like old times again!!

I had my xbox for roughly 2 months before i bought this, everytime i turned off my xbox or touched a cd after taking it out, my hand would get scolded! but this cooling fan, the cheapest cooling fan, is the best, yes it makes the console louder, but you drown it out when playing. The xbox is still cool after 2-3 hours use, and after putting my hand behind the xbox the amount of air this fan blows out is incredible. So all in all a brilliant buy, although a little noisy and somehow there seems to be 2 versions of this item, as the one i have recieved has no control button on it, so ask the dealer which one you are recieving before buying.

I purchased this item around 8 months ago and it has worked well for me. Only now that I have an xbox problem (oh suprise suprise), I tried to remove the fan from the back of my xbox only to have it fuse itself to the pin covers in power socket and rip them out once I disconnected the fan. Now I have 4 red lights and my xbox doesnt work at all :/ You get what you pay for, and clearly this is cheap.

I love the design of the 360 controller, its chunky but not too big, and its not at all heavy. Its comfortable to hold for long periods too. Some reviews have comnplained about the vibration not working on that many games, but that is entirley dependant on the game not the controller, so this cant be blamed on the controller. Another review I have read complains the analogue triggers don’t work on GTA. Well if this review refers to San Andreas, since GTA4 is not on PC yet, that game does not have analogue accelerator.brake controls, it is digital, again not a fault of the controller. Perhaps my main gripe with the pad is the oddly positioned left analogue stick. For me I would prefer the analogues to be adjacent to one another as I do get a little thumb ache in my left thumb. Apart from that this is a great controller and highly recommended
Customer Review: Correct Drivers
In order to get the most out of this you need the right drivers - if you google “XBCD 360″ you get the correct drivers for this model (if you get just the standard xbcd drivers you can have a lot of problems). The drivers eliminate the problems other people had (i.e. all buttons work independantly, both analogue sticks work separately, triggers can be set to analogue). Glad I spent the extra cash to get something of decent quality, would recommend to anyone looking for a decent controller.

Customer Review: Great alternative to the hdmi slot/cable
Last Year I bought an LCD TV/Monitor to replace the old small Standard TV in my bedroom. The main thing I use the screen in my room for is playing my Xbox 360 which is capable of outputting HD graphics. But before I got my new TV I was only playing standard definition graphics through a standard component cables anyway. Unfortunately , my new LCD Widescreen TV/moniter didn’t display the 360s graphics as sharply as my old standard definition TV. The image seemed a lot more blurry than my old TV. Luckily on the same day I decided to buy the official Microsoft HD VGA cable for 360, and it fixed this problem and now all my games are displayed in gorgeous HD and running at 720i/p. The image is alot sharper than through my old standard component cables. This cable is also great alternative if you don’t have the HDMI slot ( alot of the older 360 batch models including the most of the ” Core ” packages , will not have a HDMI slot. ) on your 360 or your TV/moniter. Luckily my new TV/monitor had the VGA input/output socket just like all other PC monitors , so I was able to restore picture sharpness even though both my console and Screen have no support for HDMI. So basically what I’m trying to say , this is the choice for you , if your Display unit or 360 doesn’t have the HDMI slot. Buying this cable have been one of my best spending decisions for my 360 gaming ! You can still enjoy sharp graphics on a widescreen LCD/plasma even without HDMI !

I bought this game a week ago, and being an avid gamer I can easily say this is one of the best games I’ve played in a while. The system of linking your stunts together by getting close to objects and doing the jumps and spins in between is marvellous. The game offers a variety of levels with different vehicles. The construct is also a brilliant feature just as they had in the first Stuntman. The graphics are okay, it makes up for the gameplay. Explosions can be a bit naff and most objects are boxy looking but the gameplay is marvellous. The scoring system is amazing the only way to get a 5 Star ranking is to link all your stunts together without letting the points being added to your score until the end, and if your a perfectionist like me you will find this a lot of fun! Overall this is a game you should buy if it’s there and under ?25 and definitly a game to go out of your way for to get.

Play as a stuntman doing great stunts for movies its amazing. The Graphics are brilliant - I love the way the roads sparkles so realisticlly! I love the easy gameplay and the way the cars and motorbikes turn easily at the flick of a button! Its a brilliant game, and I recommend it to anyone. I love it!
