Customer Review: Hacking the PSP 2nd Edition
In this book there is some half descent stuff although there are also some very pointless hacks and there are sections on how to make car mounts which I didn’t really think should be in a hacking book. To get the most out of this book you really need a psp with firmware 2.6 or below and gta liberty city stories (the old unpatched version) and wipeout pure. I would strongly recoomend not to get this book unless you have this stuff. There is this section which tells you how you can play multiplayer games with one disk and when the game does not do game sahring. I promise you this is well easy. There is a really detailed section at the end about programming and homebrew and there is also some very complex information about the intert on the psp. This is what you are really paying your money for. Although quite a bit of this stuff you do need to download off the iinternet so before you buy this book make sure you can download.

Customer Review: A Good Value Pack
In this review, I will go through each item and explain why they make up a great pack. - Carry Case: This is a snug case which fits the psp well. It also has a little pouch to carry headphones and the screen cleaner in, but I would advise you buy a UMD Disc carry case because the space isn’t really secure enough for games. - Data Cable: Your average data cable. Works fine and is essential for getting all your music, videos and photos on your psp. - Car Charger: A useful little device. The lead is long enough and its great for long journeys. - Earphones: They produce a decent sound whilst also not dusturbing anyone else. Essential for those quick games at home when no one else wants to hear you blowing things up. - Wrist Strap: Although it doesn’t look all that stylish, this strap still feels strong enough to support your psp. It can also be easily detactched to store in the pouch of your case. - Screen Protector: An excellent protecter which is easy to fit and has rigid sides so no air bubbles get stuck. It fits and protects the psp well and you don’t notice it’s there. - Cleaning Pad: A useful cleaner which you can keep in your case. It is effective but, with the screen protector on, it hasn’t seen much use yet. - PSP port covers: These are three small rubber stoppers which cover the data cable, charger and headphone inputs for your psp. They prevent dust from coming in, but I don’t think they are realy that necessary. Nonetheless a bonus. Overall, this pack is great value for money and all the items in it perform excellently.
Customer Review: Screen Protector
This is just a note about the screen protector - I think you are meant to use the rigid piece of plastic with the black border to protect your screen - not the very flimsy cling-film type thing. The rigid sheet has an adhesive border and because it is rigid you do not get bubbles behind it.
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction (PS3) Insomniac Games has overhauled its proprietary PS3 engine technology to create the most visceral Ratchet & Clank universe yet, overflowing with exotic creatures and flying vehicles.
The PS3 system’s superior power enables Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction to bring vivid worlds to life with increased draw distances, enhanced lighting and shadowing, and more fluid and exaggerated animations.
Discover an all-new galaxy spanning vast worlds such as a majestic cloud city and a space-age amusement park.
Encounter an entirely new cast of expressive characters (and some old favorites) as well as the introduction of a variety of new alien races and life forms.
Experience a more emotive Ratchet with nearly as many animation joints in his face as PS2 Ratchet had in his entire body. This joint density applies to many of the characters featured in Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, enabling more detailed, personable and expressive characters.
Clank returns as a playable character, and Ratchet will have new enhanced abilities.
Fire a fully stocked arsenal of all-new weapons such as the Plasma Beasts and Tornado Launcher, which uses the Sixaxis controller to direct tornadoes that suck up enemies and whip them around with debris.
Use the Sixaxis controller to maneuver, destroy enemies and solve puzzles.
Upgrade and customize weapons with a new system that provides greater power and flexibility. Players also will have the ability to upgrade Ratchet’s armor.
Utilise Ratchet’s new supply of consumable “on-demand’ combat devices, such as the Groovitron, which causes enemies to dance uncontrollably to ’70s disco hits.
Gadgets gameplay returns as Ratchet and Clank will have more gadgets at their disposal to help them bounce, fly, evade and defy gravity.
Pilot Ratchet’s ship through asteroid fields while trying to destroy enemy fleets in a complete redesign of classic Ratchet & Clank space combat gameplay.
Customer Review: Very High Quality Entertainment. *****
I got my PS3 on launch day and Motorstorm aside this is: as said by another reviewer on amazon: The first must have title on the PS3. If you have played the PS2 ratchet and clank games then you would be forgiven for thinking that this is more of the same. Which it is and isent. This is ratchet and clank with bells, whistle’s and all that! This game looks great on a standard tv and beautiful on an HD tv. I have both types of tv; but where this game comes into its own is gameplay. Smooth and fast gameplay with puzzles and combat. I downloaded the demo of this game on the ps3‘>ps3 network and after the endless stream of rubbish that the PS3 has delivered this game not only bucks the trend but puts the trend into hospital! This game is colourful, noisy and fun. The groovetron which makes all enemies stop attacking you and dance saturday night fever style is top draw. Worth the money unlike half of the PS3 rubbish. Dont get me wrong I like the ps3‘>ps3 but sony needs to deliver now and they havent. This game is a big step in readressing the balance. READ THIS SONY and note. Save your overpriced console with some good games and please drop the price……. I know the PS3 is better than the 360 (And I have that too) but the only way to proove this is with quality games like this. Try playing oblivion on a 360 (which I have) and on a ps3‘>ps3 (which my mate has) And the ps3‘>ps3 just delivers unlike the continuous loading/slowdown of the 360 version. Buy Ratchet and clank!
Customer Review: PS3’s standout title so far
I had this on pre-order and received it on the release date. Having played it through fully twice now I can honestly say that it’s one of the most fun titles I’ve played on PS2 or PS3 in a long time.
The graphics and sound do the immense power of the PS3 justice and if you’ve played any R&C games on the PS2 you’ll immediately appreciate the enormous step up in quality. The draw distance is phenomenal and the skies are busy with animals and craft. Ballistics and explosions are brilliantly realised and the water effects are second to none. There is no doubting that the developers have unlocked a colour palate untouched so far on the PS3. This is the prettiest game you will play this year.
As always there are a plethora of new weapons to unlock, and the classical R&C sense of humour remains. It’s obvious that Insomnia have just been dying to unleash some of these on us for years but haven’t had the processor power to do it. When you see a room full of baddies dancing to DISCO and the flashing lights of the groovetron for the first time it’s tempting to just watch agog at how much is going on on screen and how much attention to detail there is.
It’s not perfect; I’ve found it a little easy in places and the difficulty is lower than some of the previous games. There are occasional graphical glitches with bits of smashed boxes seeming to hang in mid air and the occasional monster getting stuck behind bits of landscape. You’d have to be mad to let this sort of thing detract from the sheer immense amount of fun there is to be had though. There’s tons to do, and if you’re the sort who likes to get 100% then you’ll be playing it through at least 3 times before you get all the skill points and unlock everything in the game.
Buy this game, you’ll not regret it.
