Customer Review: Great accessory
After watching people posting up their videos of Singstar i was hooked so i had to go out and get it. This item is an absolute gem and i hope Sony include it in the future as part of their ps3‘>ps3 packages. I got it on day of release from amazon for a pretty reasonable ?25 or so. The camera captures in 640×480 and is useful in a number of games and other options and also includes a high quality microphone. When you first connect the camera the only fuction which will operate so you will need to use the xmb to activate the microphone function if you wish to use it. I personally have it turned off because if its active and attached it shows up as you having a microphone in games like COD4. There are a number of games availble to purchase from the playstation store. I have the one where you need to rescue the blurps by moving yours hands. The camera on the whole is pretty accurate at picking up movement but can make the odd mistake which can be a little annoying. In games such as singstar it randomly takes shots of you singing and also a 30sec or so clip so you can upload it if you wish which adds to the expierence. At this time of the year its nice to capture films of family making a fool of themselves 
I havent tried the video call feature yet but that is another use of the camera (6 way video chat). This is well worth getting.

Do not attempt to copy your data from PS3 back to your PS2 memory this will corrupt the memory card & you can never use it again i have already lost 2 cards ,wish i had read the reviews first

###warning### The snakebyte cannot write your saves back from the ps3‘>ps3 to a ps2 memory card, and it will corrupt the ps2 card if you try to do so. I have destroyed two of my cards, which I cannot even format now.

This is certainly worth buying if you have a ouple of controllers, it keeps them charged at all times and keeps them neat and tidy instead of thrown all over the living room and tucked behind sofas. I have plugged mine into my V+ box and they sit nicely beside it, I believe some freeview boxes and SKY + boxes have a USB port on the back so if like me you have 40gb PS3 then you don’t need to use any of those ports. Overall I would say buy it.
Customer Review: Neat Unit
I bought this so we could charge 2 controllers whilst sitting at the computer - not as most people here have done ie plugged into the PS3. As the computer is on more than the PS3 it seemed more sensible to use it’s power. The unit is small and compact and works well. I’ve had no problems charging from the PC. As soon as the controllers are fully charged I remove them from the dock and pop it away. It only takes about an hour and a half to charge two which is great. Also it means I don’t have to have the silly short-length usb wire that came with the PS3 in the way. Definitely good value for money if you buy with something else and get free delivery.
