Customer Review: No Pointing - Easy to Use - Original Product - Good Price…
I’ve given it 5 stars because i can’t think of something that I don’t like about it. This is the easiest way for someone who doesn’t know how to use a controller, to watch dvds/bluray on the ps3‘>ps3. It’s an original Sony Product so quality assured. It’s got every button that the controller has even R3& L3 should you ever need them, plus its got its dvd/bd command buttons.

My dads been watching series after series of Dallas recently and they are slightly scratched so skip on our normal dvd players, but work perfectly on the ps3‘>ps3. Now that he has the remote its easy for him to watch his dvds on it without having to get out of his lying on the sofa position because theres no pointing required (bluetooth radio signals). he can even press eject on the remote to see where the next cd needs to go!

A real necessity for true ps3‘>ps3 accessory collectors also.

Customer Review: Essential gear for the none gamer.
If gaming is your scene, and playing around with the supplied games contoller is second nature to you, then this remote control will probably be way down your ‘must have’ list.

If, however, you are like me and bought the PS3 more for playing Blu-ray and up-scaled DVDs than for the games, then having this piece of kit is just about a no-brainer. The non gamers ‘must have’.

I bet, though, that like me you will continue to point it at the Playstation even with it being Bluetooth and not I/R !!

Customer Review: pathetic
I bought this game as I was looking for an fps for my psp and at first It seemed quite enjoyable, this is until you get further into the game and it become extremely dull and repetitive. Overall I would say it’s not worth buying, look elsewhere for a better game, don’t waste your money!
Customer Review: I thought that it would be good……but………….
……..I was delighted when I was given my PSP, but one of the first games that I bought was Coded Arms. It was the first, and so far the best FPS game that I have seen. when I first started the game up, it reminded me of HALO for the PSP. However, when I started it up. For the first 10 minutes it was quite interesting and fascinating. However, once I got to the end of the training levels, I found out how monotonous it was. The levels are short and repetitive. Every level seems to consist of 5 things. Start, battle, walk around, battle the level guard, then step in the level teleporter to go on to the next level. The levels all seem to be in dark unatractive rooms and corridors, and there are no open spaces or large rooms. Instead of picking up weapons or getting a weapons choice at the beginning, as you progress through the game, you unlock weapons making it extremely irritating at the beginning because the only weapon you can use is the pistol, which is quite useless. It takes ages to unlock cool and powerful weapons like the rocket launcher and the energy pulse. But the controls are actually quite good. not too sensitive and not too unresponsive. It is miles better than the hyper-sensitive controls of Star wars battlefont 2, where it isd virtually imporrible to aim at an enemy and fire accurately, not to say kill an enemy. I still prefer the halo-default controls, but there isnt any way to change the controls on Coded Arms. However Coded Arms is quite fun at times, which is why I gave it 2 stars and not 1. It also has a few interesting touches, such as: when you kill a creature or bot or bug, they dissolve into pixels, which is very appropriate because this entire game happens inside a virtual training program gone haywire (i.e. invaded by viruses and attack programs). I would say that Coded Arms is an ordinary FPS game. Not the most spectacular, fun, or interesting, but at least it is playable.

Customer Review: A GREAT FILM!! !! !! !! !!
This is a great film and is criticised sooften about how bad it is, it isn't that bad atall! This film includes some good acting and has plenty of action as well as a decent story! This film is overated for its violence though as it isn't that violent really! Some scenes may be a bit violent but it isn't that bad! I think this is a great film which is one film that should be put on a UMD so if you have a PSP and like action films then get this and mabe the UMD version of “Predator” to go with it as it is also a great action film which in my opinion is way more violent that this too!
Customer Review: What a waste…. SOMEONE should be Punished.
How well this movie has translated to the PSP format is irrelevant. This has to be one of the worst comic book to film adaptations ever made. Uneven in tone, abysmally shot, packed with apalling performances (that’s YOU Travolta) and utterly juvenile, in a bad way. Most importantly for action flick, the action, barring a couple of nice touches, is lame. Tom Jane as Frank Castle could have rocked but the rest of this steaming nappie of a film undoes any of the decent work he puts in. The dark, brooding atmosphere which is so apparent in The Punisher comic books is totally missing, not least because the movie is set in Tampa, Florida rather than the grim streets of New York. Too stupid for adults and too violent for kids this should be avoided by one and all.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (PS3) With the Hitman series already well established, Danish developer Io Interactive are not exactly masters of the family friendly game. This latest effort is their most violent and shocking yet, as you take control of reluctant mercenary Kane and his schizophrenic partner Lynch. Neither character likes the other but for the purposes of the story they have to work together in a series of violent third person shoot outs. By default you control Kane, with the computer or another player taking on the role of Lynch. As the game progress you will also be able to recruit a team of up to eight mercenaries, with your reputation determining the quality of the personnel applying for the job. Ordering your squad around is easy enough but since any of them, particularly Lynch, can have completely different objectives to you, they won’t always take orders - particularly if they’ve taken a dislike to you already - which is a real problem when you want them to administer some first aid.

Although it is much more action packed than the Hitman games, there are obviously similarities between the two games, with highly interactive environments and multiple ways to approach any problem. One particular highlight already demonstrated involves a kidnapping at a rave with Kane & Lynch firing into the air to disperse a large crowd of dancers before engaging in a brutal gun battle with security guards, as the sound and music system continues to flash and blare. If the rest of the game is just as inventive with its scenarios then Io may well keep Kane and Lynch alive for a little longer.

Customer Review: Don’t believe the hype !
Couldn’t wait to buy this game having seen the trailers however it did not live up to the hype at all.The graphics are not much better than PS2 standard and after playing Call of Duty 4 they really do look second rate. Controls are also poor. Don’t waste your money !

Customer Review: Great little piece of kit
Sony’s PSP has been given a slight revamp and is now suposedly 33% lighter and 19% thinner than the old model. Does this mean much? Not to me because I’m new to the console anyway. So let’s just start this review by saying I can’t compare the Slim & Lite to the old PSP but what I can do is talk about this version on it’s own merits. Let’s get the most important question out the way first - is it worth getting? Oh yes, without a doubt it is! There is a lot of debate over which is better, PSP or Nintendo DS - personally DS holds no interest to me whatsoever. DS, like Nintendo’s full-size console (Wii), is for casual gamers - it has innovative controls (like Wii) with it’s stylus system but the games generally aren’t what’s classed as “hardcore” games. DS revolves around quick and simple pick-up-and-play-games like Nintedogs, Harvest Moon and Brain Training - I find these games tedious. Personally, I want “proper” games - racing, shooting, fighting etc - the games I have grown up with as a committed gamer. You won’t find many of them with DS but you do with PSP. Admittedly PSP started out as nothing more than a portable that received far too many stripped-down PS2 conversions but things have moved on slightly since then. The quality of games on PSP is impressive and improving all the time - the graphics, sound and kind of presentation this portable is capable of is nothing short of amazing. When I first loaded up Killzone Liberation for example, I was greeted with an incredibly smooth, detailed high resolution FVM sequence - you wouldn’t find that kind of cinematic presentation anywhere on DS. A quick note on a much-maligned area of PSP - the analog nub. Some people find it very awkward or uncomfortable to use - it’s not actually so bad. At first it can seem a bit innacurate but after a few minutes you should become accustomed to it. It actually works great for racing games like Test Drive Unlimited (although it’s a bit sensitive on Burnout Dominator so I tend to stck to the D-pad for that game) but I have yet to try it on a first person shooter (the kind of games it is most criticised for). So what’s good about PSP? + the screen is incredible - large, smooth and bright + the PSP is easily most powerful portable on market + the PSP is incredibly versitile - games, movies, pictures, music, internet…. you name it! + wi-fi connection meaning online gaming and internet browsing + loading times of games on Slim & Lite is good; the games I own generally don’t take any longer than CD/DVD games on larger formats (XBox, PS2, 360 etc) + battery life isn’t too bad considering the kind of games it can play (I imagine they would be quite demanding on the battery) + good selection of games for the console - it is getting all the big franchises, not to mention one or two exclusives of its own Anything not so good about PSP? - it can get a bit uncomfortable when played on for extended periods - aching thumbs can be an issue (or maybe it’s just me) - when loading UMDs the PSP makes an annoying whirring noise (it’s just a bit noisy for my liking) - the D-pad can creak sometimes (not sure if it’s just my PSP or not) - it soon gets caked in millions of fingerprints due to its shiny surface Overall, I think this is a marvellous piece of technology. PSP is without a doubt the most advanced portable ever released and for any serious gamer I would recommend this very highly. Only thing I will say is that if you’re thinking of buying a PSP, remember you need a memory card in order to save anything - I would opt for at least 2GB memory stick, preferably a 4GB one. I’m afraid this means more expense (a fifth negative on the console if you like). But overall it’s worth the price I think.
Customer Review: If you have the big psp - avoid this!
I already own the large psp and thought I would down size to the psp lite, What a mistake! Yes its smaller (not by much) yes its thinner (by quite a bit) but it feels tacky, the UMD slot that used to pop out your umd in a slick motion of mechanics is now a flimsy pull down cover that looks and feels tacky. I thought it would have new themes and maybe some built in pictures/games - No!! (I mean if you upgraded to a new sony ericsson phone you’ll expect new wallpapers and pictures?). All you get is some new coloured backgrounds and the ability to watch your stuff on a tv. You don’t get the headphone adaptor (with volume control) or even a soft case. Battery life is still no better and the volume seems to be less that the old model. If you don’t have the old model and your new to handheld gaming - get a DS, not this. If you already have the old model - keep it and just accept its big size. I do like the psp, its brilliant for watching movies, playing music or viewing pictures-the low score is for the new lite version compared to the old large version. Steer clear unless you have money to burn.

Terminator 3 - Rise Of The Machines [UMD Mini for PSP] [2003]
With a reported budget of $172 million, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines starts in high gear and never slows down. The apocalyptic “Judgment Day” of Terminator 2 was never prevented, only postponed: John Connor (Nick Stahl, replacing T2’s Edward Furlong), now 22 and disconnected from society, is being pursued yet again, this time by the advanced T-X, a sleek “Terminatrix” (coldly expressionless Kristanna Loken) programmed to stop Connor from becoming the saviour of humankind. Originally programmed as an assassin, a disadvantaged T-101 cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger, bidding fond farewell to his signature role) arrives from the future to join Connor and his old acquaintance Kate (Claire Danes) in thwarting the T-X’s relentless pursuit. The plot presents a logical fulfillment of T2 prophesy, disposing of Connor’s mother (Linda Hamilton is sorely missed) while computer-driven machines assume control, launching a nuclear nightmare that Connor must survive. With Breakdown and U-571 serving as worthy rehearsals for this cautionary epic of mass destruction, director Jonathan Mostow wisely avoids any stylistic connection to James Cameron’s Terminator classics; instead he’s crafted a fun, exciting popcorn thriller, humorous and yet still effectively nihilistic, and comparable to Jurassic Park III in returning the Terminator franchise to its potent B-movie roots. –Jeff Shannon, Amazon.com

Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children [UMD Mini for PSP]

The question facing any viewer of the Japanese CG feature Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is: do you have to know the games on which it’s based in order to understand the film? And the answer is: it certainly helps. But even complete novices (i.e. most parents) in the Final Fantasy world will find some entertainment in its wealth of fantasy-based action, and the animation never fails to astonish. Picking up two years after an epic battle between the forces of good (represented by brooding soldier Cloud) and evil (Cloud’s former general, Sephiroth), FFVII opens in the devastated city of Midgard, whose youthful occupants suffer from a ghastly disease known as Geostigma. A trio of brothers arrives with what appears to be a cure for the plague, but their gesture conceals a more sinister purpose: to revive Sephiroth and bring about the end of the world.

Cloud and his companions must once again rise to the occasion to stop the siblings and the revived Sephiroth from unleashing total destruction. Complex and self-referential to the point of occasional incomprehension, Final Fantasy VII will definitely be most appreciated by fans of the game series, but if others can look past the numbing dialogue and frenetic action (which is a bit too intense for very young children), the film offers a care-free and action-packed viewing experience. The two-disc set contains the original Japanese language version of the film as well as an English-dubbed edition (Rachel Leigh Cook and Christy Carlson Romano, among others, provide the vocal talent) and a version edited for the Venice Film Festival. A 30-minute featurette that recaps the Final Fantasy story up to VII, as well as a making-of documentary, deleted scenes, and promotions for future Final Fantasy VII games and products round out the extras. –Paul Gaita

Customer Review: Not bad shame about the sun screen
I’ve just purchased my PSP and I bought this accessory pack at the same time. On the whole it’s pretty good. But the sun screen that you screw onto the back of the PSP was broken at the left hinge. So I got a replacement within a couple of days, but the second one is broken on the right hinge. OK, I could get another replacement, but frankly, looking at the sun screen and the way it’s made it looks like there’s just a weakness at that point and there’s nothing to say the third one would be OK. The rest of the pack is really useful, although if you want to put the PSP and say the headphones in the case it’s a bit of a tight fit.
Customer Review: Good value pack
I had been searching for psp accessory pack even before I bought my psp. After searching for sometime, I found out that this accessory pack is good value for money. All the items included are expensive if bought separately. The only thing i doubted was the enlarge analog stick which might cause more pressure on my psp. I would be even satisfied if a screen protector was included.

Call of Duty 4 (PS3) Customer Review: Blows the Competion Away
Wow, take about immersive gameplay, if there was ever a game that makes you jump and hide every time you hear the “clink clink” sound of a grenade landing near your position, this is it. This is what the edge of your sofa was made for.

The graphics, smooth, textured and perfectly lit. finally appear to be one worthy of PS3. The sound, especially in surround is fantastic, this title has stopped me trading my PS3 for an XBOX 360, I was about to lose hope.

Quite simply the best looking, best playing, total immersive FPS money can buy.
