In this book there is some half descent stuff although there are also some very pointless hacks and there are sections on how to make car mounts which I didn’t really think should be in a hacking book. To get the most out of this book you really need a psp with firmware 2.6 or below and gta liberty city stories (the old unpatched version) and wipeout pure. I would strongly recoomend not to get this book unless you have this stuff. There is this section which tells you how you can play multiplayer games with one disk and when the game does not do game sahring. I promise you this is well easy. There is a really detailed section at the end about programming and homebrew and there is also some very complex information about the intert on the psp. This is what you are really paying your money for. Although quite a bit of this stuff you do need to download off the iinternet so before you buy this book make sure you can download.

This is one of the best consoles around. It is basically a smaller, cheaper version of the playstation 3 and has almost all the capabilites of what the bigger console can do. Obviously the graphics are not quite the same (but better than the DS) and does not have motion sensitive controllers etc. However the advantages are endless it’s portable, cheaper, take pictures (camera needed), store movies, games, music, photos, go on the internet and many more. If you want you can buy a peice of software to allow it to be played through the T.V. The advantages are endless. This console is certainly better than the DS due to it’s capabilities sure it does’nt have a touch screen but that is all the DS has over it. When connected with the PS3 it becomes the deadly duo and makes many more opportunities arrise like for a racing game you can use the PSP as a mirror. Overall the functions and possibilities on this console are endless and is well worth buying especially if you have a playstation 3.

This battery is fine. It does what is says, longer battery life than the one provided with the PSP. However, i bought mine not as a replacement battery, but as an extra one for when i went on holiday via COACH! It was fine, no problems at all, the only slight negative was that it was difficult to take out of the PSP,i found that i had to use a coin to lever it out. In comparison, the PSP battery provided when you first buy the PSP is easier to take out but has less battery life. The battery doesn’t hinder holding the PSP and doesn’t give off electric shocks or anything like that so overall a very sound product.

How does Spider-Man 3 follow on the heels of its predecessor, which was widely considered the best superhero movie ever? For starters, you pick up the loose threads from that movie, then add some key elements of the Spidey comic book mythos (including fan-favourite villain Venom), the black costume, and the characters of Gwen Stacy and her police captain father.

In the beginning, things have never looked better for Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire): He’s doing well in school; his alter ego, Spider-Man, is loved and respected around New York City. And his girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst), has just taken a starring role in a Broadway musical. But nothing good can last for Spidey. Mary Jane’s career quickly goes downhill; she’s bothered by Peter’s attractive new classmate, Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard); and the new Daily Bugle photographer, Eddie Brock (Topher Grace), is trying to steal his thunder. Enter a new villain, the Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), who can transform his body into various forms and shapes of sand and who may be connected to Peter’s past in an unexpected way. There’s also the son of an old villain, Harry Osborne (James Franco), who unmasked Spidey in the previous movie and still has revenge on his mind. And a new black costume seems to boost Spidey’s powers, but transforms mild-mannered Peter into a mean and obnoxious boor (Maguire has some fun here).

If that sounds like a lot to pack into one 140-minute film, it is. While director Sam Raimi keeps things flowing, assisted on the screenplay by his brother Ivan and Alvin Sargent, there’s a little too much going on, and it’s inevitable that one of the villains (there are three or four, depending on how you count) gets significantly short-changed. Still, the cast is excellent, the effects are fantastic, and the action is fast and furious. Even if Spider-Man 3 isn’t the match of Spider-Man 2, it’s a worthy addition to the megamillion-dollar franchise. –David Horiuchi

Like other reviewers here, I could not get this to work with my Sky HD Box. No problem with the PS3 but I have had to go back to my manual, but cheaper (?25) 4-way Logik switch from Currys that works just fine with all components and does not need power. It’s easy to see why there was so much fighting amongst the console manufacturers to try and make this game a format exclusive. Where early launch titles may have disappointed this game not only looks like a next generation game but it plays like it too. Taken at face value the story casts you as an Arabic fighter in 1191, out to assassinate the nine Western leaders of the Third Crusade. There is more to the story than that though making it more than simple historical adventure it first seems.

Since it’s developed by many of the same team behind Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, it’s no surprise to find the game using many of the same ideas. With the bold claim that you can climb on or over anything in the game world that sticks out more than two inches, this allows incredible freedom of movement, with a style of acrobatics heavily influenced by Parkour/free running. The game also innovates in terms of combat, with each of the face buttons controlling a different area of the body, rather like a marionette. As such one button controls the feet, one your open hand, one your weapon hand and the other your head.

As an assassin stealth plays an important role in the game too, but here it’s often a case of hiding in plain sight as you mill around inside large crowds of people. Everyone will react to you realistically though, so if you go around pushing people out of the way, or even killing them, the crowd will react and report you. With stunning graphics and genuinely innovative gameplay this is destined to be one of the most important releases of the year.

Customer Review: Over-hyped, but worth playing.
Needless to say this game is very repetitive compared to those of similiar genre. Climb up a view point, complete 2-3 missions and assassinate the target. Yeah, that is the concept of the game. The environment is very beautiful and well-detailed, however, and the world is very interactive. Unfortunately the game loses much of its potential, thanks to Ubisoft’s sloppy plot design.

Moreover, the Xbox 360 version is better. It may have a slightly lower framerate, but there are no vsync issues (screen tearing, whereas PS3 version suffers from this issue, a lot.

If you don’t mind playing the most repetitive game out there for PS3, go ahead and buy it.

With a reported budget of $172 million, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines starts in high gear and never slows down. The apocalyptic “Judgment Day” of Terminator 2 was never prevented, only postponed: John Connor (Nick Stahl, replacing T2’s Edward Furlong), now 22 and disconnected from society, is being pursued yet again, this time by the advanced T-X, a sleek “Terminatrix” (coldly expressionless Kristanna Loken) programmed to stop Connor from becoming the saviour of humankind. Originally programmed as an assassin, a disadvantaged T-101 cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger, bidding fond farewell to his signature role) arrives from the future to join Connor and his old acquaintance Kate (Claire Danes) in thwarting the T-X’s relentless pursuit. The plot presents a logical fulfillment of T2 prophesy, disposing of Connor’s mother (Linda Hamilton is sorely missed) while computer-driven machines assume control, launching a nuclear nightmare that Connor must survive. It’s got to be said that since F197 games developers have had a shocker in putting such a popular sport into a good, playable and realistic game. Look no further than this offering. Granted, it’s last years driver set (i.e. no Hamilton), however in all categories I really rate this game. The graphics are very fair for the PSP standard (think equal to Pro Evo for example), and its only occasionally that there’s a bit of lag… usually when you crasah into the back of a car by not braking adequately! Gameplay is relayed by a very responsive and realistic car handling set up - drivers aids for beginners and an extensive manual car tuning option for the specialists. Race days are peppered by on-track incidents, and qualifying sessions always hold a risk of rain! In summary, a very playable and detailed game. N.B. the career mode is purely driving i.e there is no ‘Chief Engineer mode’ that is advertised

This is a good handheld game of F1! This has some pretty decent graphics in the game and the handling of the car is quite good. The only downfall I have is no WiFi and laoding times suck!

What a great product! Not only does this product find Internet Radio Stations and lists them for you, but it also allows you to record them and the best bit is it records the individual songs and catalogues them for you, not as I thought records the whole radio session as one continous stream. This allows you to go through the recording and just select the songs you want!!!

This is a great pad, it wireless so u dont have to sit close to the tv with wires everywere. its also got a motion sensor which captures the movement of the pad to do some great stuff in the game. people are complaing that this is copied from nintendo’s Wii, its not. people are also complaining that it doesnt have a dual shock, vibrating function dnt worrt i hear they are making the new controller with the same vibration capabilites and its coming out next year spring. PEOPLE STOP SAYING THIS IS A RUBBISH CONTROLLER AND ITS COPIED FROM NINTENDO WII.
If u are going to buy a controller for your ps3‘>ps3 make sure its the official sixaxis controller and dont buy those cheap copys of the controller that looks the same.

For all those people that are disappointed with the lack of vibration in the PS3 controller. You will be pleased to know that a vibrating version (dualshock 3) is due to be launched in Europe - spring 2008. Announced by Sony at the tokyo gaming convention sept 2007.

Customer Review: Sceptical at first, but turned out to be one of the best films I’ve ever seen!
Having not seen this film at the cinema, prior to DVD release I was sceptical about purchasing Casino Royale. I had heard some postive reviews but also some negative ones as well, saying that Daneil Craig just doesn’t fit the bill. I totally disagree, I think Craig has played Bond in this film beautifully. Ok - so in this film theres no gadgets as in previous films -but remember this film is set as Bond has just recieved his 00 status! Don’t expect too many flashy gagdets. Overall, a great film thats funny, packed with action. UMD Plays perfectly - no quibbles there.

In the ongoing deluge of comic-book adaptations, Hellboy ranks well above average. Having turned down an offer to helm Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in favor of bringing Hellboy’s origin story to the big screen, the gifted Mexican director Guillermo del Toro compensates for the excesses of Blade II with a moodily effective, consistently entertaining action-packed fantasy, beginning in 1944 when the mad monk Rasputin–in cahoots with occult-buff Hitler and his Nazi thugs–opens a transdimensional portal through which a baby demon emerges, capable of destroying the world with his powers. Instead, the aptly named Hellboy is raised by the benevolent Prof. Bloom, founder of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, whose allied forces enlist the adult Hellboy (Ron Perlman, perfectly cast) to battle evil at every turn. While nursing a melancholy love for the comely fire-starter Liz (Selma Blair), Hellboy files his demonic horns (”to fit in,” says Bloom) and wreaks havoc on the bad guys.

The action is occasionally routine (the movie suffers when compared to the similar X-Men blockbusters), but del Toro and Perlman have honored Mike Mignola’s original Dark Horse comics with a lavish and loyal interpretation, retaining the amusing and sympathetic quirks of character that made the comic-book Hellboy a pop-culture original. He’s red as a lobster, puffs stogies like Groucho Marx, and fights the good fight with a kind but troubled heart. What’s not to like? –Jeff Shannon

Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children [UMD Mini for PSP]

The question facing any viewer of the Japanese CG feature Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is: do you have to know the games on which it’s based in order to understand the film? And the answer is: it certainly helps. But even complete novices (i.e. most parents) in the Final Fantasy world will find some entertainment in its wealth of fantasy-based action, and the animation never fails to astonish. Picking up two years after an epic battle between the forces of good (represented by brooding soldier Cloud) and evil (Cloud’s former general, Sephiroth), FFVII opens in the devastated city of Midgard, whose youthful occupants suffer from a ghastly disease known as Geostigma. A trio of brothers arrives with what appears to be a cure for the plague, but their gesture conceals a more sinister purpose: to revive Sephiroth and bring about the end of the world.

Cloud and his companions must once again rise to the occasion to stop the siblings and the revived Sephiroth from unleashing total destruction. Complex and self-referential to the point of occasional incomprehension, Final Fantasy VII will definitely be most appreciated by fans of the game series, but if others can look past the numbing dialogue and frenetic action (which is a bit too intense for very young children), the film offers a care-free and action-packed viewing experience. The two-disc set contains the original Japanese language version of the film as well as an English-dubbed edition (Rachel Leigh Cook and Christy Carlson Romano, among others, provide the vocal talent) and a version edited for the Venice Film Festival. A 30-minute featurette that recaps the Final Fantasy story up to VII, as well as a making-of documentary, deleted scenes, and promotions for future Final Fantasy VII games and products round out the extras. –Paul Gaita

Spider-Man [UMD Mini for PSP] [2002]
For devoted fans and non-fans alike, Spider-Man offers nothing less–and nothing more–than what you’d expect from a superhero blockbuster. Having proven his comic-book savvy with the original Darkman, director Sam Raimi brings ample energy and enthusiasm to Spidey’s origin story, nicely establishing high-school nebbish Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) as a brainy outcast who reacts with appropriate euphoria–and well-tempered maturity–when a “super-spider” bite transforms him into the amazingly agile, web-shooting Spider-Man. That’s all well and good, and so is Kirsten Dunst as Parker’s girl-next-door sweetheart. Where Spider-Man falls short is in its hyperactive CGI action sequences, which play like a video game instead of the gravity-defying exploits of a flesh-and-blood superhero. Willem Dafoe is perfectly cast as Spidey’s schizoid nemesis, the Green Goblin, and the movie’s a lot of fun overall.
