all in all from the comments u can see this product is completely useless, in my opinion the best way to help your PS3 to stay cool is to keep it upright, this way the hot air rises to the top of it and is expelled a lot easier with the top fan, also make sure it has room and the heat doesn’t conduct to say for example, DVD/Games cases, your storage unit whatever.. had lots of experience with stuff like this through my custom pc’s
Customer Review: More like a heating fan…
When I 1st saw this product at my local GAME store, I thought; “Great! Something to help my PS3 to cool it’s engines!” But I was wrong.

The 1st thing that really stunned me is this “cooling fan” fits at the back of the PS3. Why is it unusual? Because the only part of the PS3 that really burns up is the (right) side of the console, & I presume it would fit there instead.

Further problems persists when you safely attached the fan to the back of the console (troublesome as you gotta take out all the wires from the PS3 in order to securely click the fan, plus since the PS3 is quite heavy, it doesn’t make it any easier). So to test the fan, inserted a game, barely 5mins in, the console starts breathing heavy air, then another few more minutes, you hear clicking sounds (like 2 plastic sticks batting each other) & to top everything off, the PS3 starts reaking out boiling plastic.

When I switch off my PS3, I checked the side of the console, it was BOILING. Worst than when I didn’t attach the so-called cooling fan. When I detached the fan, it was reaked with the scent of burnt plastic.

I was unlucky that I can’t return my shoddy product (you know those annoying refund guidelines, if you opened it, you can’t return it), so my advice to you do not get this product & save yourself ?15. It doesn’t do your PS3 or your wallet any benefits what so ever…

Customer Review: Almost top notch…
The gameplay takes a little time to get use to seeing as it is very different from past years. After workin them out its such good fun to play! The only let down this year is the roster, its really not that great at all, there are too many big stars taken out for divas(lets face it do you ever play as one of them) and theres not many tag teams either which is a let down. All in all this is a great new game for PS3 and i would advise anyone who loves WWE or ECW to go out and buy it!
Customer Review: An Insult to Fans of the Series
As someone who has purchased every THQ wrestling game for years, I had been eagerly anticipating this latest release. Unfortunately, after playing the game I was left with a feeling of disgust instead. The game is full of bugs. In the 24/7 Mode which represents the game’s season mode, more often than not the choices you make will be ignored. For example, at one point I was asked if I wished to relinquish the WWE title. I refused. However, the game reacted as if I had chosen the opposite - and the story progressed as if I had indeed given up the belt. This glitch happened again and again, at numerous points in the game. I can’t believe something like this made it past the play-testers. Other bugs include the lack of pyro on customised entrances for created wrestlers. You can choose to have pyro as part of your entrance when you design it, but when you come out to wrestle it will simply fail to activate. Once again, I have no idea how something like this managed to make it into the game. Even setting aside the bugs, 24/7 Mode is pretty lousy. The cut-scenes which open shows are often nonsensical in relation to what is meant to be happening in the story. For example, your character might merrily chat with a wrestler he is meant to be in a bitter feud with. At first glance the ability to plan out your wrestler’s entire week rather than just playing the matches might seem like a fun concept. However, it quickly becomes tiresome (though players who liked the general manager mode in the previous games might like it better than I did). The game is plagued with long loading times, which often enhances the frustration of 24/7 Mode. Even selecting one of the non-playable options such as attending an autograph signing (something which involves no animation of any kind - a picture just appears on the screen, along with a message telling you how much popularity rating you gained) forces you to endure more loading time. In general the new control system was acceptable. However, there does not appear to be any manual control to change your wrestler’s focus when in a match against multiple opponents. In theory it happens automatically instead. However, in practical terms the automatic focussing is terrible, meaning that you often stay focussed on one wrestler when intending to attack another. This can lead to a lot of headaches, when you turn from a downed opponent to punch a standing one, but end up performing an elbow drop instead. For some reason each wrestler now has fewer moves than in previous games in the series. I don’t know why they would reduce your number of moves, but they did. Now if you initiate a strong grapple you have the option of 8 regular moves and 2 control moves, whereas in the last game you had 16 regular moves, and I believe 4 control moves. I thought next generation technology meant they could include more material in games, not less… Flaws from the last game are still present. For example, in a ‘last man standing’ match the referee will only start his count if the downed wrestler will fail to get up - unlike in ‘Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain’, where the ref would count anyway, and the wrestler might be able to get up in time to beat the count. This may seem like a small point, but to me it completely ruins the drama of the match if the ref only counts when you’re going to win. Imagine if they did that for pinfalls. No more two counts - just a win or no count at all. Surely near falls (or counts in the case of a ‘last man standing’ match) are an important part of a pro-wrestling match? Some match types which were present earlier in the series (eg. the slobberknocker, and 3 vs. 3 tables and ‘hell in a cell’ matches) are no longer available. Once again, I don’t see the logic in removing options when improving technology should instead be providing the space for more options. If you try playing as a diva the situation is even worse. Whereas back in ‘Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth’ they could play any kind of match, now they are severely limited in what they can do. The commentary is on the whole extremely weak. Most of the time JBL sounds like he was idly reading from the sheet when they recorded it, without even really paying attention to what he was saying. Much of the dialogue is taken directly from the last game, and it quickly becomes repetitive. They could have at least put in more play-by-play (eg. “DDT!”, “Brutal powerslam!”) to pad it out and make it seem a little less barren. There’s no option to import music on the PS3 version, like there is on the Xbox 360 version. I don’t see why this should be the case. If anything it should be the other way around, since the PS3 has a hard disk as standard - whereas the Xbox does not. So, if like me you were hoping to use ‘King of Kings’ as your entrance theme, or some other track which isn’t in the game, you will be disappointed. These are the problems which most immediately sprang to mind, though I’m sure there are many others which I have neglected to mention. THQ appear to have become lazy with this series. They know that fans will buy each year’s title out of hope and habit, so they don’t seem inclined to put much effort into game design anymore.

Customer Review: Great WireLess Pad
This is a great pad, it wireless so u dont have to sit close to the tv with wires everywere. its also got a motion sensor which captures the movement of the pad to do some great stuff in the game. people are complaing that this is copied from nintendo’s Wii, its not. people are also complaining that it doesnt have a dual shock, vibrating function dnt worrt i hear they are making the new controller with the same vibration capabilites and its coming out next year spring. PEOPLE STOP SAYING THIS IS A RUBBISH CONTROLLER AND ITS COPIED FROM NINTENDO WII. If u are going to buy a controller for your ps3‘>ps3 make sure its the official sixaxis controller and dont buy those cheap copys of the controller that looks the same. I ordered on yesterday at around 11am and chose first class delivery which was suppost to take 1-2 business day. but i got the next day which is great. Its better value for money as well if u buy from amazon because the prices are lower than the RRP and the delivery is super fast. Great job Amazon.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3)??

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3)??
With the Pro Evolution Soccer series renowned for its fluid, realistic gameplay, the new game builds on the implementation of Teamvision with additional key advances. As with previous releases since its inception in 1996, the ball is again treated as a separate entity, with the timing of shots entirely down to the player, while the new AI ensures that defenders work to close down space and block efforts on goal. Similarly, distribution of passes works along the same lines, with players using the space available to them to switch the ball. Close control has also been enhanced with more control when dribbling the ball, and a number of subtle moves added to bypass defenders and move the ball into space.

Customer Review: Completey fixed!!!
Although the game did suffer from lag slightly offline and massively online, the new patch which can be downloaded when starting the game has completely fixed it!! paving the way now for one of the best pro ev games if not the best, the passing is so slick and beating a defender is alot easier than recent years, the true pro ev and indeed football fans will now get to play the finest football game, one word superb!!!

Customer Review: Pro DEvolution 2008
I’ll be honest, when I first got into football games on to consoles, the first one I owned was FIFA International Soccer for the SNES. Although dated, isometric and unofficial, the game was a pretty good experience. It showed me that as long as the game was fun to play, that alone could overcome some of the game’s short comings.

I was a FIFA fanboy up until 2005 (on my Gamecube, yes, I stayed loyal to Nintendo too) when after being “forced” to play the so-called enemy, Pro Evo, I was hooked. The game lacked a licence and didn’t have the hundreds of teams FIFA offered, but instead, went for the more realistic approach to the game, it was more fluent, goals required actual skill and was an overall more satisfying experience.

I eventually gave up on FIFA and ended up for the next two years buying a second hand PS2 just to play Pro Evo 5 & 6. When the next gen consoles came along, I went with the PS3 and I eagerly awaited Pro Evo 2008. I hoped that the game would have the near-perfect of the original games with the added bonus of crisp, high-definition graphics with a better online mode.

So, come late October, Pro Evo 2008 was released, I knew it had a lot to live up to, despite turning on FIFA, I actually enjoyed FIFA 08 despite some problems but still deep down knew it would be well and truly trounced by it’s counter-part.

Sadly, my hopes came crashing down, along with mine and many others.

Pro Evo 2008 to bluntly put it, shouldn’t have been released. This isn’t just my opinion, this is a lot of people’s, including its creator, Shingo ‘Seabass’ Takatsuka who has stated the game shouldn’t of but had to be released. If that hasn’t warned you of the bashing this game will get, then this message should.

The most important part of Pro-Evo is the gameplay. The PS2’s titles although had a few ningles, we’re pretty much flawless. Although it has transcended well, a few too many bits and pieces haven’t. Controls are exactly the same as before (which is fine if you’ve played Pro Evo before, but newer players will pick it up in time too). There’s a few new features, one of which is diving, which will either cause you to jump for joy after winning a penalty, or feel like killing your system if the game does the same to you. The A.I for your opposition is alright, it still hard to score and if you make a good set piece, then chances are you weren’t lucky and you generally did a good job.

The referee however seems to be in a time warp and has gone back to the ways of Pro Evo 4, in that, he hands out cards like breaths of air. Seriously, unless you do a slide tackle from the front and win the ball, chances are, your player could be sent off. In a multiplayer game I had, I had 3 players sent off for fairly normal tackles (in Football, a contact sport, keep that in mind) whilst my friend had 4 players kicked off for similar challenges, normally straight reds. It might be Konami’s way of making sure slide-tackles are used to a minimum and discourage players from using them in the real world, but sometimes, when it’s needed and it’s a slight mistake, you’d think they’d be a bit more lenient.

Looks wise, although this is the PS3 (which has had a pretty mix card in its first year) and although it’s Pro Evo, I did expect a bit more bling for my buck. Sadly, the game just doesn’t cut it. Even on a Hi-Def TV, it still looks pretty poor. Pitches look drab, the crowd looks pretty poor (which it always did, just now, you’d expect they’d have the power to perhaps, touch it up). Some players look like their real life counter-parts, but for others, it will be a complete guessing game and it can be pretty distracting.

Speaking of distracting, how about we add a bit of lag to the experience? Yep, Pro Evo, famed for its fluency and well paced action, has now replaced it with slowdown and lag. Some stadiums are worse then others, but replays, many players on screen (e.g. corners and battles in the middle of the pitch) and online have suffered tremendously. Luckily a patch has just been released which does cure most of these problems, but online is still pretty much unplayable and the odd problem still happens offline.

Overall, Pro Evolution 2008 is the start of Konami’s venture into next-gen consoles (you could include last years since PE6 was on the Xbox 360, but since there was no PS3 or Wii versions, it’s the first game with all next-gen platforms) and it’s gone pretty downhill. Instead of just updating PE6 with fancy graphics, some new moves and an updated roster, something else happened and this is the end result. It’s done some good things, but as a whole, its a very disappointing experience and not worthy of buying (which is evident with the recent price dropping). If you want a real football experience on your console, keep PE6 and wait until next year, if your that bothered for a next gen football game, FIFA 08 is your only other option, which after this travesty, doesn’t seem that bad anymore.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (PS3)

It’s the game that never should’ve worked. Normal licensed games are usually bad enough but the game of the toy of the film? Clearly the Force was with developer Traveller’s Tales though because Lego Star Wars I and II were huge critical and commercial hits that showed that not only could licensed games be good but that titles aimed at kids and the family could be just as innovative and entertaining as any other. Clearly not wishing for any of the new consoles to miss out on the fun this is a compendium of both games with a bunch of new extras thrown in on top.

Together the two games cover both the prequel and original trilogy, with each film given six separate levels of its own, one of which is vehicle based. The rest of the levels though are deceptively simple action adventures with a built-in co-operative mode that anyone can join in and leave whenever they want. The combat is simple enough that anyone can play and you never really die, leaving the most complex part of the gameplay the always cleverly designed puzzles.

For this special version of the games extra levels have been added in (including the Zam Wessell chase from Attack of the Clones) as well as new bonus missions, ten new bounty hunter missions and the ability to play any of the characters in any of the levels. Add in a new online co-op mode for the PS3 and 360 and this really is the complete saga.

Customer Review: Simple Star Wars Fun
What can i say? Not exactly a next-gen game, but well thought out and very funny. Any Star Wars fan should reap some reward from playing out key scenes from all 6 movies. Not the most challenging game in the world and hard-core gamers will clock story mode in a day or so, but like ‘Sonic’ games from the past, it’s the re-playing levels to get each one 100% completed that’ll take time. Simple, honest family entertainment. Would reccomend especially to anyone with kids/a fettish for Star Wars. Now just gotta wait for ‘Haze’ to be released….!!!
Customer Review: A Good Belly Laugh
Lego Star : The Complete Saga is an excellent fun game for when the freinds are around, with many mini games to keep you happy. The game fully involves a second player, but single player is fun too with loads of unlockable content and enough challenges to keep you going for a long while. To say that this game is only for children would be premature at best, its an all round game for people who enjoy a querky game, and an obvious must for Star Wars fans. Although however it is fun and querky some parts can be quite dull, however they dont last long and the story can continue with a more pleasing appeal. Some of the unlockable content is realy amuzing, such as disguise mode where all characters wear joking glasses with joking mistache attached, or giving silly hats to different characters. In my Opinion its worth a look if only a fun game to play with mates. Hope my review was useful Mr J.W.Price
