To those that complain - just leave these people alone. If they want to review then let them, Personally I think people chatting about the upcoming games is fine, but I don’t think Amazon should let ratings be given until the game has been out for more than one week. Just because you think it’s stupid to pre-rate a game why would you give the game 1 star (a rating that stays with it) when you yourself haven’t got a bloody clue what it’s like? Amazon - remove ratings before confirmed release dates. It’ll solve all this rubbish.

I really hate it when people rate or review something they haven’t actually experienced yet, for example a game that isn’t due out for over a year! It’s totally pointless, for instance Army of two looked great from screenshots and videos but when it actually came to playing it, it was a massive let-down! I think that you lot should only write reviews for games you’ve actually played and leave pre-emptive comments like these for fanboy forums!

Starters, yes they are using their same design to the Dual shock 2 and Dual shock and it is a trade mark of Playstation. Old? Yes. Broken? No, theres nothing broken about the controller, sure there are room of improvements as with all of them - The analogue sticks need to be more robust is the biggest improvement they can do i think, which i think they have improved a bit with Dualshock 3. And the other thing would be to make the constroller more rounded and maybe slightly bigger for adult hands size i think. Maybe also bring the design into the 21st century just make the buttons have that glassy effect like the PSP, Xbox 360 controllers, pretty easy to do. It is a very light controller, personally i couldn’t care less how light it is as long as it works, i’m fine with it. but others like a certain weight which is fine but you have to be pretty fussy. Comparision: The design to the Dualshock 3 is the same however Dualshock’s colour coating to different, it’s fully black it’s not the sightest bit see through. Weight of course, dualshock 3 has rumble (hense the name) so it has that little bit no weight. They both have motion sensor and as i said earlier the dualshock maybe a bit more robust but i’m really not that sure on that one. And the dualshock 3 does cost more about 10 pounds here on amazon. Over all, etheir one you buy is good, if you don’t really care about the weight buy the sixaxis you’ll save more money, but if you’re used to the weight of the Playstation2’s controller or the xbox 360’s or even Dualshock 1s then get the DS3. Lastly this whole name calling thing in reply to some other reviews, ” Sony stole Nintendo designs!” arguement etc. No they didn’t, Nintendo didn’t create motion sensoring! And Microsoft didn’t create triggers etheir. These two inovations have been around for many years. Besides, I don’t see a “wii mote design” on the box of Playstation 3, do you???? If you’re going to have copying arguements then you might as well say: “Oh my god, microsoft and nintendo are using DVD, and CD and Sony created (or mostly) them.” Get over it fangirls…

Customer Review: Can’t go wrong
This is a great product. It is basically a mini keyboard, you can set caps lock and it has F1-F10 buttons. It also clips onto the official PS3 controller very well. Setting it up couldn’t be simpler, i just plugged in the wireless dongle, put in the batteries and switched it on. One other good thing is that it has a power save feature so the batteries last longer. To sum up, this is an excellent product its size is perfect, i wouldn’t want a huge keyboard on my lap every time i want to send a message. GET IT!

Judging by the reviews and pics of this keyboard, it is pretty much the same as the Madcatz thumbpad apart from the base of the keypad is black and not white. There are many things that are wrong with the keyboard such as its plasticky looks and the way that it does not really fit on to the controller extremely well. However, it does do its job well and would be a welcome relief to text addicts who cannot stand the on-screen keyboard. The typing is surprisingly easy to pick up although mistakes are an often occurence if you have unusually chubby fingers like myself! All in all, a decent effort by logic3 and at ?15 you can afford to buy and use it until the next best thing comes along(Come on official playstation keyboard).

Got this for my birthday, expecting a good game that would last me a few months, but i was wrong, i got an amazing game which would last me years! Listen to the first few cutscenes, it will make sense when a certain change happens near the end. Anyway, graphics are amazing, but some of the cutscenes can lack best qaulity, then again the gameplay makes up for it. AI isn’t bad, some weapons are better than others. Characters are loveable, Eddy Raja has to be my favourite, but some lines Drake says are pretty humourous. Great puzzles to confuse your mind and some to challenge your wits. Overall this is an amazing game which will always be in my top 5.

Uncharted is a bit of a paradox for me, because it is far from perfect and has so many things wrong with it I should be scoring it low, but oddly the game scores high from me because for what ever reason I couldnt put it down from start to finish. Okay, so lets tackle the key problems. Your journey is completely scripted from A - B and there are no different avenues to explore. Some of Drakes movements are quite clumsey looking and some of the primary movements such as dropping from a ledge and taking cover are especially clumsey as he can drop even though he is nowhere near a ledge. The flip side to this is you can over-jump ledges and die easily. Others have commented on the far from perfect Assassins Creed, which although has problems - really set the bar in terms of interacting with a climbable environment. Uncharted fails miserably at reflecting the progress made in Creed in this department. One of the earliest levels consists of getting on board a stranded submarine by undertaking a series of death defying jumps and shimmys - when the sub would be easily climbable directly from the ledge of rock its stranded on. Next is the weapons system, which really seems redundant. A single 9mm shot from a pistol has greater stopping power than 3 - 4 shots from the AK47, which everyone knows is one of the most awesome automatic rifles ever made. This is just silly and hence you spend almost the entire game using pistols although the Deagle and Magnum do spice this up a bit. In terms of puzzles, there arent any really. Tomb Raider has this element down to a T but the scripted nature of Uncharted means you dont have to do much to keep moving. The game is pretty easy to work out and even the route for jumps & shimmys etc is pretty simple with very few wrong turns & dead ends. So.. the game had me engaged because to start with it looks awesome, very detailed and lush environments which are used to maximum effect across a series of levels in one location. The cut scene story element is pretty good and although a bit old hat has been done very well with great acting. I’ve complained recently about the water affects in ‘Army of Two’ being seriously poor but this is not the case in Uncharted. Water looks and feels like water, Drakes clothes visably get wet and the use of the Jet Ski levels demonstrates how Water & Rapids can be utilised to great affect. The mixture of climbing and shooting is about right and creates a nice tempo for the game which lasts about 11 - 12 hours depending on how good and how bothered about the treasures you are. I’ve played through and found 48 of 60 which wasnt bad first time and I would replay the game of Hard difficulty. The game is lacking any real challenge in terms of puzzles, bosses or wrong turns for you to get lost, fall down or die so I can see the game appealing to a younger audience; and the auto save is good and consistent so anyone looking to hit there PS3 for half hour at a time can make steady progress without having to replay lengthy periods of the game. All in all, Uncharted looks amazing and I enjoyed it. I feel it could have been so much better, by mixing in some actual stealth elements, a lot more wrong turns, a boss or two and far harder puzzles (think of the prince of persia games). Current value means it is a steal and an absolute must buy for anyone looking to show their little box off. No pun intended ha ha.

Customer Review: The best Madden for years
I must admit that although I am a huge fan of the Madden NFL series, over the past few years I haven’t really noticed any differences, other than graphics and rosters, when I have purchased the new game each year, leaving me feel a little ripped-off for trading in last year’s edition for less than a tenner to fork out ?40 or more for the new one, but with Madden 09 it is completely worth it. There are now so many more updates than previous years (as well as updated graphics and rosters) including the” My Skill” difficulty setting which assesses you while you play to give you a personalised difficulty, so when playing either on single player or online, it gives you opponents at a similar skill level as yourself. There is also the Virtual Training which is good for practicing plays and the better play help whilst in-game, which will break down the number of plays to the best ones to use for rookies and intermediates to the game. There is also a Fantasy Football league for real fans of the sport which is played online against the rest of the Madden community on EA. The Rewind feature is great if you are new to Madden games as you can rewind the last play you made if you did a mistake. This is good if you are practicing against a computer opponent but I strongly recommend turning this off if you are against a human player as it may cause all sorts of arguments! The Backtrack feature is probably my favourite as it shows you where you have gone wrong in the last play if you make a mistake and gives advice on what you should have done. I’ve been playing these games for about 15 years (since the Megadrive days) and I still am learning a lot of helpful tips thanks to this! The graphics are probably the best I have seen in a sports game ever with so much detail in everything from the players, the stadiums, even the grass! The sound is good too with fluent commentary (which can become annoying at times) and the music is not bad. Online play is very fluid with no lag that I’ve experienced yet. The servers seem full of other players (mainly Americans) so there is never a problem on setting up a new game. Overall this is definitely the best sports game I have played for a long time and is extremely addictive once you get into it with plenty of game modes to get stuck into. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a decent sports game, whether you watch American Football or not.
Customer Review: Much improved over Madden 08
I have been playing the madden games from the start and if you have played any of the other years games you will feel right at home. The core game play is the same as the other years on Madden 09 but then that could be said of all the EA sports range, BUT there are a lot of changes over last years that make it a much better game, the frame rate is up over last years PS3 version, the game is very fast and the animations are excellent (only in the replays that you control does it slow sometimes) they have added a load of new animations and this cuts down on the ball Jumping into the hands of receivers, or leaving the kickers foot with a missed animation. The D line is better and the control that you have over linemen/backs and Offence players is excellent, maybe too much for an average player. The IQ test is ok but the running is far too easy in the test so it will set it at All Madden, its better to use the sliders to find a custom level. The stadiums and the grass look amazing and the weather is excellent, the players uniforms dirty as they play in the rain and mud which adds to the realism. I have noticed players pick up more injures during games which is good as well not major ones but ones that will keep them out for a few plays, meaning your back-ups matter more. The player Pictures, stats, Finance screens and the end of game screens are better as well. There are still a few problems with the IA like on punts the computer running out of bounds when they could cut up field and the occasional cheating by the computer on some plays exits but it’s not enough to ruin the game. If you like madden then this is an improvement over last years, it’s not a massive leap forward but they never are, but some of this years touches make this the best in a long time, you feel like your getting some real updates that improve the game for your money. One other sore point was the patch wasn’t available over here when I received my game, so no Farve at the jets and Taylor is still at the fins amongst others, but I’m sure it will be out soon if it isn’t already. A simplistic American football game in the style of EA’s “street” series. It’s basically Madden played 7-aside but with none of the depth and very little added to compensate. Usually these type of games have outrageous moves, hard hits, showboating etc and are designed as a pick up and play arcade experience…This game has nothing. I can’t really find the words to describe how little this game has to offer, so i’ll describe my experience: Load game, enter tour mode. Choose play from very limited playbook. Press x to “snap”, press x to pass…..Score. Now defence, choose play from very limited playbook. Press square to tackle….Sack quarterback. Repeat this for 1 hour and get “rewarded” by some “humourous” yank telling me I rock etc, but it’s going to be tougher this time because (wait for it….) now it’s going to be first to 24 points!!! (I felt a bit overwhelmed in all the excitement by this point). My only saving grace is I rented this game - yay! - So the only cost was the hour of my life I wasted, I intend on sending EA the invoice….And I don’t come cheap.

I must admit that although I am a huge fan of the Madden NFL series, over the past few years I haven’t really noticed any differences, other than graphics and rosters, when I have purchased the new game each year, leaving me feel a little ripped-off for trading in last year’s edition for less than a tenner to fork out ?40 or more for the new one, but with Madden 09 it is completely worth it. There are now so many more updates than previous years (as well as updated graphics and rosters) including the” My Skill” difficulty setting which assesses you while you play to give you a personalised difficulty, so when playing either on single player or online, it gives you opponents at a similar skill level as yourself. There is also the Virtual Training which is good for practicing plays and the better play help whilst in-game, which will break down the number of plays to the best ones to use for rookies and intermediates to the game. There is also a Fantasy Football league for real fans of the sport which is played online against the rest of the Madden community on EA. The Rewind feature is great if you are new to Madden games as you can rewind the last play you made if you did a mistake. This is good if you are practicing against a computer opponent but I strongly recommend turning this off if you are against a human player as it may cause all sorts of arguments! The Backtrack feature is probably my favourite as it shows you where you have gone wrong in the last play if you make a mistake and gives advice on what you should have done. I’ve been playing these games for about 15 years (since the Megadrive days) and I still am learning a lot of helpful tips thanks to this! The graphics are probably the best I have seen in a sports game ever with so much detail in everything from the players, the stadiums, even the grass! The sound is good too with fluent commentary (which can become annoying at times) and the music is not bad. Online play is very fluid with no lag that I’ve experienced yet. The servers seem full of other players (mainly Americans) so there is never a problem on setting up a new game. Overall this is definitely the best sports game I have played for a long time and is extremely addictive once you get into it with plenty of game modes to get stuck into. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a decent sports game, whether you watch American Football or not.
Customer Review: Much improved over Madden 08
I have been playing the madden games from the start and if you have played any of the other years games you will feel right at home. The core game play is the same as the other years on Madden 09 but then that could be said of all the EA sports range, BUT there are a lot of changes over last years that make it a much better game, the frame rate is up over last years PS3 version, the game is very fast and the animations are excellent (only in the replays that you control does it slow sometimes) they have added a load of new animations and this cuts down on the ball Jumping into the hands of receivers, or leaving the kickers foot with a missed animation. The D line is better and the control that you have over linemen/backs and Offence players is excellent, maybe too much for an average player. The IQ test is ok but the running is far too easy in the test so it will set it at All Madden, its better to use the sliders to find a custom level. The stadiums and the grass look amazing and the weather is excellent, the players uniforms dirty as they play in the rain and mud which adds to the realism. I have noticed players pick up more injures during games which is good as well not major ones but ones that will keep them out for a few plays, meaning your back-ups matter more. The player Pictures, stats, Finance screens and the end of game screens are better as well. There are still a few problems with the IA like on punts the computer running out of bounds when they could cut up field and the occasional cheating by the computer on some plays exits but it’s not enough to ruin the game. If you like madden then this is an improvement over last years, it’s not a massive leap forward but they never are, but some of this years touches make this the best in a long time, you feel like your getting some real updates that improve the game for your money. One other sore point was the patch wasn’t available over here when I received my game, so no Farve at the jets and Taylor is still at the fins amongst others, but I’m sure it will be out soon if it isn’t already.
